Thomas smiled.

"I look forward to the day I can see you again. But I suppose we should get you out of here before someone-"

He hears a voice and turns seeing it's Herman. He steps in front of Eric blocking Herman from hurting him.

"Herman wait! I know he's a criminal. Yes he kidnapped me but I know the truth now." said Thomas.

Thomas paused unbuttoning his shirt and tossing it to the floor to reveal the mark on his shoulder.

"I know you have a mark just like this. It's part of a family curse passed down from father to son. King Charles isn't our father. He's our stepfather. He took mother and us away from our real father. Eric. Mother was pregnant with us but she didn't know about it until it was too late. The King decided he wanted mother as his queen and didn't care she was dating father. This is the Eric mother was calling out fo when she was sick. Her true love. Mother's gone. But I won't let him die." said Thomas.

He was nervous now hoping Herman believed him. If he didn't he would get his father out of here. Even if he had to fight his brother and became and outcast himself.

He nodded to his sons words "You are right" Eric heard the voice like his son & turned to see another young many appoching, yet he was clearly not happy to see him & it was also clear that danger could be coming. He listened to his son try to reason with the other man of course he soon learned for sure who the man was his other son, of who he did not expected to see so soon. He feared if it might turn into a fight where he would have to defended his one son form the other, he hopped it did not go so far yet he would do it if he would have to. He did not miss his sons last words & put a hand on his sons shoulder encase things happened he would be sure to pull him out of the way he did not wish his son hurt he would much rather be the one to take such a thing.

Herman listen to his brother not really wanting to think all he knew is a lie, so he took to the only way he knew "He is lying to you brother, are father would not lie to use" He knew of the mark yet, it did not help ease his mind to lower his guard to the man he saw as a wanted man still "Move away form him brother before, you are found with him by the wrong people & are harmed because of it" He did not know if he wished to fight his brother, they where brothers after all he just hopped his brother came to see he spoe the truth.

Thomas paused as he shook his head and stepped in front of Eric protectively.

"Herman he is our father. I've already lost mother. I don't want to lose him or you either. But if you insist on believing our step father's lies then you'll have to kill me before you get to him." said Thomas.

He wasn't going to lose both of his parents. King Charles had been distant and while at times he thought he loved him he wasn't really sure anymore. The brief time he had with Eric had shown King Charles just cared for them out of duty not love. And now that he knew the truth he realized how lonely he'd been. If it wasn't for Herman he probably would have been completely lonely.

"Don't you see? Our step father never really cared about us. He's only cared for us out of duty and to keep his throne. If people find out we weren't his children the two of us would be thrown out of this castle and he would probably be thrown in jail or killed after the people rose up to tak over the kingdom. They don't like being lied to and I can't blame them for that. I don't like it either." said Thomas.

He pause turning to Eric.

"Keep going through the secret passage. I'll stall Herman as long as I can. The guards don't know of it so you'll be safe. I guess we have to part earlier than I wanted. I know I can't leave you with you as I wish but you must be safe. Or this will have been for nothing." said Thomas.

He heard his brothers words & still enough to allow Eric to leave he was not one to rise his blade against his brother to harm him "I do not wish to harm you brother but, it is much to take in & I am not sure I can say I can accepted the idea even if I question now on who are father is" He stopped sheathing his sword as he spoke "Alright I will let him leave, but I need time to think all of this over & it is best that we do not get any more involved in this matter with Eric for it for now will only lead to more issues"
