Thomas smiled at him. He slipped out of the armor dropping it to the ground so no one could trace it back to him. He then turned to his father.

"Thank you. But could you tell me how this happened? I will try to get you out of here. But it's not like I can ask my stepfather. He'll just deny it. How did mother and I get here? Why did I think the king was my father all this time?" said Thomas.

He paused as his father said he would leave. Thomas shook his head.

"Like I said I'm going with you to make sure you get out. I didn't break you out for you to get caught, or hurt, or killed. And we could spend more time together. When we're done I may never see you again. So I'd like to spend as much as time with you as I can." said Thomas.

He smiled at him walking with him as he pushed a statue back as the wall slid back revealing a secret passage.

"Come. We must hurry before guards come for the next shift." said Thomas.

He heard his sons words "The simplest answer I can give is your steep father & myself had a rivelry over many things, but none mattered more then your mother, I fought to keep her yet in the end I lost & your steep father left her with the choose ether go with him or watch me die, so she left, I had not idea you even existed & I was exiled form your steep fathers kingdom, with in the same day" He heard his sons words "I would like to spend time with you, but you can do more good here then with me, you do not need to make yourself black listed as well" He fallowed his son, keeping up with him he knew it would not take the gaurds long to figuer somthing was happening "If anything happens do not put your self in danger, I know you want to keep me safe, but if you are hurt it would hurt me more to know I am the reason becouse of it"

"I called him father for years. I loved him and he stole mother and me from you. I'm sorry." said Thomas.

He paused as he looked at him in realization.

"Is your name Eric? After my mother became ill and was dying she kept wanting to see Eric. But no one know who that was. People thought she was delirious or the Eric she spoke was dead or moved away. But it was you wasn't it? You're the one she wanted to see." said Thomas.

He burst into tears. He knew his mother had been comforted by his visits. But if she'd gotten to see Eric even once maybe it would have made her happy again. He paused in realization. He had to find a way to take the kingdom from his stepfather. If he'd done this to his parents and him who knows what other evil acts he'd done to the people. He would be a good king even if he had to take over sooner than planned.

"I believe your right. I just hope my stepfather hasn't wronged anyone else. But I will try to rule this kingdom and make sure everyone's happy. I can't kill im that would arouse suspicion. But if I take away his throne then he'd have nothing left. I could probably get away with it. Say he's getting old. I'd just have to come up with the right plan." said Thomas.

He wished he could spend more time with his real father. He paused looking at him with certainty.

"Do you have a home or a hideout? Somewhere no one knows about? I could slip away from my guards and come visit you. Or we could pick a neutral place. With the right disguise I could make sure no one would recognize me. I don't want this to be the last time I see you." said Thomas.

He paused at him speechless and shook his head.

"And you think I want to sit back and watch them hurt you or kill you? I lost my mother. I will not lose you both." said Thomas.

He heard his sons words "You have no reason to be sorry" He stilled as his son spoke his name somthing he had not heard for some time & it hurt him to know that his love asked for him & he could not be there for her. "It is & if I had known she asked for me, nothing would of stopped me form seeing her"

He meant it he would of died to come when she needed him most, his anger flicked he wanted to kill the king even more the idea was there but, with Thomas around he knew that such wants would have to wait for now.

He started to walk at least until he heard his son burst into tears, he turned to look at his son before taking the moment to comfort him in a hug. At his sons other words he spoke "I would remove him, but I do not think you would be happy with the idea & likly the only way you could take it form him would be to have the people rise aginst him & turn on him.

People might fear him, but to have the people stand behind there ruler can make the kingdom somthing hard to beat" He looked at his son "I have a home set away in the foreset, that if we meet up I can show you. But, the place you where at I have another to the northwest of it about 20 miles form there that is where I stay when I am not out doing things"

He did not miss his sons last words "I know you do not want to lose use both, but people could question you if you cared what happened to one such as I with what I am said to do & in some cases do"

(ooc: I think so. Maybe he tried to stop the wedding and was caught. and thomas's mom talked king charles into letting him go and she'd marry him or something. or anything else would work too.)

Thomas looked at his dad with a grin.

"I'll try. Just stay safe. I'll keep the guards busy if they find you're escaped by sending them in the wrong direction. I know they're loyal to me but they fear my father more so I can't trust them or anyone here while my father is king." said Thomas.

He paused wondering if he should talk to James about this. He might know what to do. He paused seeing his father ws upset about what he said.

"I'm sorry. I know you would have. I didn't mean to make you upset. I was just thinking out loud." said Thomas.

He paused as he said he would remove him. He frowned shaking his head.

"No. If he died or disappeared you'd be the prime suspect. I don't want anything to happen to you. I'm angry but I suppose I still do care about him. But I don't know if I could ever trust him after what he's done to us and to my mother." said Thomas.

He paused at the advice. Having the people turn on him. Well if he could find proof his father had done wrong to others and could get the people's support as well as support from the staff and guards he might be able to take over. He could banish his stepfather but he might just return with a powerful army. Depending on the number of crimes he got perhaps he should serve jail time. That would be preferable and he' get to suffer for the pain he caused as well. He looked up as Eric mentioned having another home they could mean up.

"So two miles northwest of where you held me. I can remember that. Although the tricky part will be outwitting my guards and my father. He will try to keep me here for awhile no doubt and double the guards after this. I suppose I can deal with that. It might have to be for all this dies down though. Maybe it would be best if you went to another kingdom for awhile until this blows over." said Thomas.

He was sure King Charles would calm down in time and this would be forgotten. Most people probably weren't even away of his kidnapping or what happened. King Charles was a very secretive man only telling the public what he wanted them to know. That was something he'd caught on very quickly. He then listened to his father as he said how the people would react and wondered why he would care about him.

"Well I'm sure my stepfather's covered this up. I doubt many outside this castle no what happened. And I'm sure his majesty will probably prefer to keep it that way." said Thomas.

But if he had to he'd fight the entire kingdom to keep his real father safe. He'd already started to like him back at the shack as he wasn't what he had expected. But learning he was his father had changed everything. He would have to adjust and pretend he didn't know this if he didn't want to give himself away. He just hoped Eric took his advice about leaving for awhile.

He heard his sons words he was sure it was true it was hard to go aginst anyone when one feared what could happen to them or to ones family. "I am not upset with you, I am upset with your steep father & if you did not care for him....." He did not finish the thought, even if he still wanted to acted on it. "I am sure there would be more suspects, I cannot say that the king is with out enemeys many that would not mind him out of the way & you do not have to trust him"

He listened to his sons words of going to another kingdom, the idea was not bad & he knew that he could find work he always could even if he did not enjoy it or all of it keep him feed & not died so he would take his sons advice "I can leave why things cool down, I am sure there is things to do in other kingoms why I wait"

Thomas relaxed a little as Eric spoke.

"I know. I'm grateful. My stepfather ruined our chance to be a family. He took mother and me from you. He took good care of me but he was always distant. I thought it was because of mother's death. But now I think it's because I'm not his son. And unless he remarries he wouldn't have any heirs so that might be the only reason I'm still prince. He doesn't want a riot." said Thomas.

He paused listening to him.

"You're right. I'm sure my father's had plenty of enemies over the years. But you'd be their number one suspect. Just be careful. I'm sure they'll come after you so you'd be safer to leave this kingdom as soon as you can." said Thomas.

He smiled glad he was taking his advice.

"I want you to stay alive even if we never see each other again. But I know this isn't goodbye. I know we'll see each other again. Even if it's not for a long time." said Thomas.

He grinned as they kept going along the hall. It wouldn't be long before they reached the passage to the outside and they'd have to part ways.

He heard his sons words "I cannot say that in some way he loved your mother" He stopped as he looked at his son "And if he dares lay a hand on your wrongly, I will not be so king in not killing him" He did not miss his sons words as they walked "I will be as carful as I can be & you be the same, I will be leaving the kingom as soon as I can" He smiled to his son "I am sure are paths would cross again, I could send you a message perhaps use a diffrent name or that, just to let you know that I am alright & we could message one another that way"

Thomas nodded.

"Maybe he did. But it wasn't a healthy kind of love. He forced her away from you. Forced both of us. It sounds like mother was a prisoner here. I never realized how little she left the palace. My father usually did most of the stuff. I wish I'd known so I could have been there for her." said Thomas.

He sighed and turned to him.

"I feel the same way. If they hurt you or worse I'll make him pay. Most of my life's been a lie. I was lucky to have mom even though it wasn't as long as I wished. I just wish I'd grown up with both of you." said Thomas.

He sighed though with the amount of money they had they weren't able to save her. She would have still died but at least the family would have been together. He smiled at his father and nodded.

"I will. I'll be careful. I need to gain some allies. I'm good friends with Prince James and Princess Abigail. There is something else. King George is hunting James. I'm not sure why but I want to make sure he's safe. If you run into him during your travels let him know I want to help him. King George and my stepfather were never close but he probably would want to avoid war. So I doubt I could keep James hidden here. But I do want to help him and you if I can." said Thomas.

He paused and grinned at him.

"I'm sure they will. A fake name might be best to avoid troubles. I could just say you were a friend I met during my travels and no one would suspect anything." said Thomas.

He paused realizing they were near the treasury. He stopped as he made his way to it. He walked in grabbing some of it and putting it into a couple sacks. The guards were on patrol but no one suspected him of stealing from the treasury. He was the prince after all. And they kept getting new money all the time so they wouldn't miss a little of the gold. He reunited with his father back in the secret passage as he handed them to him.

"It's not much but these should help you get away for awhile. No one will miss it as we have plenty of gold and new gold coming in all the time." said Thomas.[/div][/div]

He listened to his sons words "I am sure you where there for as much as you could be" He nodded "It would of been nice to have had you grow up with use both, yet we must look to what can be still" He walked with his son "I suppose using a diffrent name is not a bad idea & if I see James I will let him know. You will have to desided on who you want as an alley I mean you might not like them or love them, but some times to have some alleys out weights the dislikes"

They stopped for a moment as Thomas went to get somthing when he got back he heard his words "I thank you for the help son, even if this would help your poor & low title to your fallowers" Once they got to the end of the tunnel he spoke as he stopped to look at his son "I suppose this is where we part ways, we will meet again I promise you son & we will find away to be together that will not be looked down upon" He moved to hug his son as he spoke "I know you will be a good king for you rule with your heart few can make such a claim & it makes them more wise to ruling there people"

Thomas smiled listening to his father. He smiled as he took the gold.

"The money's going to someone who needs it. I know my people would understand." said Thomas.

He paused as he said he supposed this was where they parted ways. He paused as he realized something.

"I'm not sure when I'll see you again. But I wanted you to know you have another son. My fraterneral twin brother Herman. He deserves to know about this. I'll find a way to tell him. I hope one day you two get to meet." said Thomas.

He smiled as he hugged his father.

"I'll try. I just wish you could be my side. Be careful father." said Thomas.

He heard his sons words, he was not sure how understanding his people would be yet as he heard his sons other words it stopped him dead as he looked at him "What" He was supprised & shocked "Does he live here with you?" He waited a moment to hear the answer not sure how to take the news & that left even more questions that he would not get the chance to ask right now. He returned his sons hug, as he heard his words "I will be safe, but you be safe as well"

Thomas smiled and looked at him.

"Yes. He does. I know he'd want to meet you if he knew the truth. We both took mom's death pretty hard. But knowing we were kept from him would be important to him too. I know he's around here somewhere. I just don't know if we have the time to go look for him." said Thomas.

He smiled.

"I will. And I'll keep Herman safe too. I'll make sure to bring him to the safe house once you send word you want us to come meet you." said Thomas.

"I am glade you will keep him safe, even if we do not meet for time is short we could always meet when you come to see me, somthing I look forward to greatly" He knew time was short & the gaurds would soon know he was gone & the alarm would be sounded leaving him to run for his life & get as far form the kingdom as he could before he found trouble.

He came looking for his brother of course he hard his brothers voice however he was supprised to see him talking to a man & he was sure the man was who his father had broght in that was to be killed. He approched the two as he drew the sword at his side "Brother move away form him, he is a wanted man & father has already spoken he is to be killed, you have put your self in danger now becouse of him being free"
