Thomas hearing Eric decline his offer.

"I will be king one day. And I'll convince my father not to overturn it. He respects my choices and if I give you this clean slate he'll agree to it. No one will be able to come after you." said Thomas.

He paused realizing he wasn't listening to him. He was being serious. He'd do whatever it took to get back home even pardoning his captor. But he didn't want to help him. He sighed as he went back to eating. He soon finished setting the bowl down as he looked up at him.

"So you want something from my father? That much is clear. So I'm the bait. My father won't let you get away with this. Take my offer. My father won't be as kind if he gets here. I can write a proclamation and sign it with my royal seal. This may be your last chance." said Thomas.

Eric smriked or allowed it to do so "I do not think your father will honor his word on that matter" He chuckled "I do not fear your father, I just need to ensure he comes so if you wish to title your self as bait so be it & if your father thinks he is man enogh to face me he will show up or send one of his lackys to fight for him, making him more the coward he already is"

He was sure that his words would sting Thomas, yet he did not care the truth hurt some times & he would have to learn the fact of his father at some point if he did not already know it.

Sean paused as he listened to him. He frowned as he said his father wouldn't keep his word.

"You'r wrong. He'll come for me." said Sean.

He paused as Eric spoke again saying he wasn't afraid of his father and wanted him to come. But he says if he sent one of his lackeys he would be a coward.

"My father is not a coward. He will be here." said Sean.

He refused to believe that. He knew his father would come for him and bring soldiers. This man would fall and it would be his own fault for not taking his offer and for kidnapping him in the first place. He paused as he began to feel a little hot so he removed his jacket and shirt setting to them to the side as he was now shirtless. A birthmark on his left shoulder was now visible.

"Ow I know your father will be here, likly with an army behind him but, you see I was not a fool I made it clear it was to be just him no one else to fight me in single combat since your father does well when it is many aginst one, but single handed we will see how he favors" He saw Sean take of his jacket & shirt he did not care, only showed he hit a nerve somthing he was glade to have done. He was close to saying somthing to Sean & he started to "Bothered are we..."

Of course the rest died when he saw the birthmark on Sean's left shoulder & he asked a bit to quick & with out thinking "Where did you get that mark?" He had many things run around in his head, none good as if to toy with him to get in his head the other he did not want to think on any more than the others was Sean could be his own son, the idea was not being upset at the idea it was more the lossing of the time & having somthing else taken form him.

But the birthmark was eatting at him for he knew the mark well for it was on him as well, though his had not started out as a birthmark it was more like a branded of one somthing he was cursed with after he fell to Sean's father years ago in a fight that was over before it started & yet Eric still went out to fight when he knew he was not likly to win he might have had it not turned to being the woman he loved taken prisioner & forced with a choose that there could only be one out come & he was restranged to insure he did not move to insure her hand was forced on what choose she would have to make.

His anger burned with the memory, he was angery enogh he could kill feed into that for what he had become & if Seans father showed up it was sure to be death for him in that moment.

Sean paused saying he wanted him to one on one. This stranger was right. His father might lose in single combat. He didn't know how strong a fighter his father was at the moment. He didn't want to lose him too. He paused looking at him.

"Don't kill him. Please. I barely remember my mother. I can't lose my father too. Take me instead. I'll go with you, or you can kill me if you want. Just don't hurt him please." said Sean.

The man seemed to comment about him removing his jacket and shirt.

"I'm fine. It's just a little hot in here." said Sean.

He paused as the stranger asked about the mark on his shoulder. Sean looked at him confused glancing at the mark on his shoulder before gack at him.

"It's a birthmark. I've always had it. My father said he wasn't sure where it came from as neither of my parents had it." said Sean.

He paused as the man went silent as if thinking about something. But he looked mad so whatever he was thinking about wasn't pleasant.

"Are you alright?" asked Sean, wondering what was going on.

Eric heard Seans words, him saying he did not remember his mother only made him hurt more since it was only a remember the lose he has suffered "I should kill him, for what he has put so many threw I would be doing a favor for many. I cannot hold you against being loyal to your father, even if I am sure he is the main reason for her death even if there is no real proff, but if he faces me face to face to start with out cheating I will spear him, only becouse you ask it of me" He did not miss his words on why he took off his shirt "Hot in here already are you & yet I have done nothing to make it so" He moved to get him some water out of a bucket for Sean before moving to offer him the cup of water. Eric watched Sean "I could tell you where that birthmark comes form, but I am not sure you will be happy with the answer"

Sean looked startled hearing him say "her death" realizing his captor blamed his father for someone's death.

"Killing him won't bring her back. Whoever she is. I don't want to believe my father hurt you but I don't know everything he does. And we've all done things we're not proud of. If you must kill someone then take my life. A life for a life." said Sean.

He paused hearing Eric mock him saying he hadn't done anything yet.

"I was hot from running from you. I just need time cool off." said Sean.

He paused as he got him some water offering him a cup. Sean took it gratefully as he drunk it. He raised an eyebrow shocked as he said he could tell him where the birthmark came from.

"Tell me what this is. No one's been able to tell me. If it's bad news like a curse I deserve to know." said Sean.

He heard his words "No, but it would make me feel better & a life for a life is exacly what I entend to do, as for you wanting to take his place you have done no wrong to me so to kill you would be pointless, besides it would only make your father have more reason to hate me" He did not miss Sean's words he chuckled "Of course you do" He heard his words on his birthmark "I think your father knows, he just does not want to admit it. How ever, your birthmark is in fact a curse or more part of a curse that those in your line will carry & it started with your father, who had a curse put on him form one that hated him & now it is a mark that his line will always carry" He just did not say it was the mark he carryed he did not think it would be the best way to tell the young prince that was to his supprise his own son.

Sean looked at him saying he'd go through with this fight. He sighed seeing it was up to his father now and hoped he would win. He paused as Eric talked about the birthmark.

"Wait. This is a curse? But my father said he didn't have a birthmark." said Sean.

He paused worried about the curse as he glanced at him.

"You know a lot about this curse. What does it do? Am I going to die or turn into a monster?" asked Sean, worried.

He heard Sean's words "That is becouse he is not your father" Eric growled, not so much at him but, just knowing that he was robbed of one more thing in his life that was a hard one now. Eric just shrugged at Seans words "It does nothing, it is mearly a birthmark or a mark that shows for any that know that mark you carry the blood of one that, had a curse put on them to bear the mark & upset so one to the point they had the curse put on the person who would be starting with your father, the one that bears the same mark" He smirked "So no you will not turn into a moster just becouse of it"

Thomas looked up at him astonishment.

"What do you mean he's not my father?" asked Thomas.

He paused and shook his head.

"Of course he's my father. You're just trying to confuse me." said Thomas.

He paused as he said the birthmark does nothing. Just shows that I came from his bloodline. He froze at that. His father must be lying about the birthmark. That had to be it. His father couldn't have lied to him all this time. He was relieved he wouldn't turn into a monster or die from it.

"That's a relief." said Thiomas.

He paused glancing at the man.

"Wait a second. How do you know so much about this birthmark? Only my parents and I know about this." said Thomas.

He heard his words "He is not your birth father, but I suppose he has played father other wise". He watched as Sean took what he said other wise "I just know & I will say to more on it" He might of said more but, he knew he could not the man would have to learn with time the truth.

He had spoken with Sean he thought to say something when he heard the sound that told him the king was here "Looks like the king is here". With that he moved to take Sean out of the cabbin, still not trusting the king would keep his word or keep it two one on on. He was ready for the fight with the king, right now he nearly saw the king & off a bit a guard holding a flag likely had just guarded he to this point & planed to guard king & prince back. "The king was clear that he wanted his son back & that Eric would pay for his actions, of course Eric said nothing to it other than to have the fight started, it would not be easy yet it had to be done now more than ever.

Thomas was still reeling from the news as he entered the castle. His captor had been taken off to the dungeon. He hadn't even gotten the man's name. Not that it mattered. His father would probably have him in jail or execute him. And yet it bothered him. The guy had been kind to him when he didn't have to while he was his prisoner. What if his whole life was a lie? What if this stranger was his father? His mother was dead so she couldn't tell him the truth. And if the king was really his stepfather then he certainly wouldn't tell him. If this got out the kingdom would lose its heir. He'd lose his title, his life here in the palace. He hated to admit but the only things he knew how to do were fencing and horseback riding. If he was forced to live like a peasant he had no skills. He wouldn't survive out there. He might end up being a bandit or bounty hunter. It felt like hours before he got up. He wasn't in the moood to eat as he got up and began walking around the palace. He stopped hearing voices.

"My king does he not deserve the truth?" asked one voice.

"No. He's my son. I raised him. That scum didn't deserve either of them. I couldn't save my wife but I will not lose my son as well." said another voice.

Thomas was speechless as the news. King Charles was not his father. He was his stepfather. And the man in jail was his father. He had to go set him free. He didn't know the full story but he couldn't let his father die. He slipped away.

A few minutes later Thomas arrived at the dungeon dressed as a knight. He walked out knocking the two guards out easily before they could sound an alarm. He rushed over to the nearest guard taking the keys and headed to the door. He opened it turning to him as he removed the faceplate revealing his face.

"I didn't want to believe you. But I heard my stepfather say you were my father. I couldn't save my mother. But I won't let you die. I wish I could go with you. But he would hunt me down if I tried to leave. I guess I'm the real prisoner. But you can be free." said Thomas.

Eric was surprised when he heard sounds outside his cell, the only sound he expected to hear was the king, to boosted more of his execution. He did not like to think his death was coming, but he knew.it would with time he was a wanted man, with many enemys he did not have so called friends at least that knew where he was. In the fight with the king, he won but he sparred the man only to be shot with an arrow be for he was surrounded & taken prisoner. His wound was only tended so he could be kill before those the king wanted, to in a way show his power & what he was able to do.

As he saw Sean it was a surprise, he heard his words "My life is not one, I would want for you for you can do more here, as hard as it is to say". He watched Sean "You can do more for people here & you can be better than the king, for fear will only make them turn aginsted you"

But he knew he need to leave, he moved to leave as he spoke "With luck we will meet again Sean". He would wait to see what Sean would say, before he would leave.
