Emma sat down in her chair and waited for Mr. Gold to start explaining what was going on. When he mentioned the rumors and specifically said about the rumors of belle and the man she was glad she was not the one to have to tell him the rumors. "So you have heard the rumors then." she said. "I didn't want to be the one to tell you of them, but I'm glad you know Belle is loyal to you." she added. "I heard the rumors and I knew they could not possibly be true, but when I saw you walking out of your shop, that dangerous look on your face I did worry you heard them and were thinking they might be true honestly." she said.
She sighed when he said that the man broke a deal and appealed to the mother in Emma by mentioning Henry and daring her to tell him she would not have done the same if someone meant to harm Henry. "I would do anything to keep Henry safe." she said honestly, "but what you were doing is not the right way. Actually, this can only make things worse." she said. "And if you killed him do you really think Belle would be happy with that? I think we both know that she would be upset even under the circumstances." she said.
"You need to find out the man's true aim before you an start punishing him for it. For all you know what you did is EXACTLY what he hoped for." she said.

He listened to her words "I am not deaf Emma & you do not think that such a rumor as that would not spread like a fire to every corner of Storybrooke" His eyes darkened "You think that I would harm Belle even if it was true?" He could not help challenge he loved her to much so he would of been blind to it any how or just wished to place the blame on the man, yet he knew Belle was loyal & in his heart he knew it would never come to such a thing. "Belle would not be happy yet, if the man was dead he would not be an issue" Other things would be yet the man would be out of the issue so that was even better in his mind then were things are now "His aim or not he better learn to stay away" His anger could not help, but to flicker he still wanted to harm the man & he did not think that part of him could ever be fully controlled perhaps with Belle at his side at the time it could, but he knew he was lost with out her & his nature of the beast was more to rise.
He signed lightly "If the man's aim was for exactly what happened he got it & of course now that it is done it cannot be undone & I cannot say I am fully sorry for it" On part was more because he was caught the other felt a something on how Belle would take the news, yet he would just have to take things as they came. "I should speak to Belle of what happened, before she learns it form someone else"

Emma shrugged, "Well of course it would, but that doesn't mean that everyone has heard the rumor." she said. "Especially not one of the people directly involved, at least part of me was hoping it was unrelated." she said honestly. She sighed, "I understand how you feel, but I have to deal with the laws of this world, and you can't just go around beating up people based on this world's laws." she said.
"And if he decides to press charges I will have to arrest you. It's just not worth that kind of trouble from this world." she said. "But there has got to be a better way to deal with this. Surely you have a better plan than just beat the idea into him?" she asked hopefully.

He felt his anger flicker "I am not one that takes kindly to be arrested" His tone was dark yet he said not more as he thought on her words "My other plans would of been to turn him into something more useful, so beating him was a better options than being turned into a rat or something" Of course if he was as dark as he was at times he would of turned him into a snail & squashed him under his foot. "You really think that this small town would be deaf to hearing things?" He chuckled at the thought, if it dealt with him people where sure to hear it. He watched Swan & watched her "So what would you do with such an issue?" He was watchful of course, yet he also knew that it was never bad to get better ways to deal with things after all Charming had helped him to speak better with Belle.

Emma listened as Rumple angrily told her he did not take kindly to being arrested. "I don't want to arrest you either, that's why I'm trying to save us both all of that trouble." she said with a sigh. "None of that helps the situation Mr. Gold." she said. "And of course this town would not be deaf to such rumors, this town hears and knows just about everything." she added.
"Well, first thing I would do is find out what the man really wants. If he really does want to hurt either you or Belle you can't do anything until you know for sure who his target is and what he aims to do." she said. "Then comes finding out his plans and keeping them from happening. Because even if you kill him he might have a plan set in action for that. Something you would not be expecting thinking with him dead there should be no problem." she said.

He was sure if arrested the town would have even more to talk about "Well since the man was not in the mood to answer such questions, I do not think he will answer them with such plans" As for him being dead Gold could think it would not be a bad idea, yet he had not killed him so oddly he wanted more form the man. "I am not sure what else can be spoke of Miss. Swan, I am sure me being here is not likely missed by at least a few news I am sure will have many talking before I leave here"

"Well for now, all we can do is try and figure out what he is planning. Keep him away from Belle, the things we know needs to be done." she said. "We could use the town rumors to our advantage on this situation though." Let him know we were talking and that I might know about it and try and help you so he comes after me instead of Belle." she said. "It'll make it easier for me to catch him in the act that way, and then you don't have to worry about Belle for a little while while he is intent on getting me out of the picture." she said. "What do you think?"

Gold listened to her words even if he was not likely the idea that well, he could see she had reason to the way she was thinking "I will only make it easier if he is not working alone, if not then the other person or persons could be anyone making more a target on your back. I can see you wish to caught him in the acted yet with magic being back it can be more deadly than in the outside world I hope you have thought of this for I do not think you have ever fought anyone with such powers" He watched her almost knowing that it was true, for she was still in many ways new here
"As honorable as you are Miss. Swan let use hope you do not allow things to become your weakness, unless you have some plan to make people think you do to draw one more to you" The idea was not bad so he saw no reason she could not try it "I suppose you have more a plan than just trying to caught them in the act that is a bigger plan & will you take steeps encase you have to deal with one with magic?" He was not about to give away all his secrets, yet some training if need be could be done for in the end he had more power than anyone else so he was not worried besides Emma for once was one that he did not see becoming a villain more one that would always be the hero.
