Going to the castle

Jeretehen had come to Regina's home to see where she had in mind for the dragons home, he had come in his owl form thinking that ridding a dragon in might not be a really good idea. So as he drew closer to Regina's gates he moved lower turning into his human form as he moved closer he knew the guards saw him, he did not care he had reason to be here so it was good they saw him so they could let their Queen know he was here.

Regina paused seeing Jerethen arrive in her mirror. There was very little she didn't know about thanks to that. The former genie's wish had benefited her greatly with his help as her Magic Mirror. Now she would greet Jerethen as she walked out of her room and towards him. She motioned for her guards to let him through as she'd been expecting him.

"King Jerethen. I'm glad you could make it. I have a patch of land close to the castle I was thinking of using. It's not being used for anything at the moment. I could have used it to make more crops I suppose but we have plenty of food. So I think it would be a good place to set up the dragon sanctuary. We just need to figure out how big to make it. I don't want it too be too small as it might feel like a cage. But too big might attract the wrong attention while we're building it. Any ideas?" said Regina.

As he approached Regina he bowed his head to her with her greeting he moved to fallow if need be, with her words he spoke. "Queen Regina, I would say the more room the better. Yet we can work around size for the number of the.dragons here & could likely always be added to it later if need be or could be that we make something that could go on the dragons to keep them hidden from people if they leave the area, but up for ideas". He watched her not sure the best idea to take or routed, he most the time took what he wanted with no issues, so perhaps a reason they got along so well right now.

Regina nodded.

"Sounds like a plan. If necessary I could just say I was planting more apple trees just so people don't panic or try to stop construction. Once it's done I'm sure people won't harm them. Although I do think if they go flying outside of the sanctuary it should be out of sight. Perhaps above the clouds or at least out of range of any weapons. Most people won't attack them if they feel safe. Although I'm sure there will be the "hero types" like charming who think they're slaying a beast and freeing the land as it were. Perhaps we could give some magical defenses to the dragons. The right spell we could give them a shield that could reflect weapons or magic thrown at them. I want this to be a safe haven for them. Not a prison." said Regina.

She paused waiting for him to reply to her. She wanted to begin construction right away. Even with magic it would take time to get this built properly.

He heard her words "It sounds like a plan, as for something for the dragons could make something like a pendent they can wear should they leave the area that will keep them safe & I can see they stay away form humans so longs as humans do not try anything" He watched her "What all do we need for sure to build the area? Is their anything we are missing that would keep use form starting or do we need a few more things to get started right now" He was not sure if they needed more, yet he was hopping that they could start get some done & build form there if lucky they would have all they needed to set up & get fully started.

Regina nodded. Jarethen would make sure none of them would come near people. If people sought out the dragons that was their fault. Not the dragons.

"A pendant sounds like a good idea. Perhaps we should even try to give them a shapeshifting ability. So they could turn into another animal or even human to protect themselves or hide. After all there's only so much a dragon can do. Especially if one of them got hurt." said Regina.

She looked around at the area.

"Well we need something to focus the barrier. Spells will eventually wear off. But if we used something like a stone or a tree it would probably last. Or maybe we could bury an amulet or something and that could bet the focus." said Regina.

She paused as if thinking.

"As for supplies I think I got enough to build it. We would probably have to use magic to build it to avoid detection. My guards are loyal but I can't be sure I have spies. So perhaps it is better for us to do this alone." said Regina.

Regina paused turning to him.

"I guess we should check my supplies. If you think we have enough we can begin. If not we'll just have to get some more then." said Regina.

He had to agree with her since dragons where mighty creachers & the idea to give one more advantage was better in thier favor. "It is not a bad idea, we can try it on a dragon or two & see how it goes. Perhaps it could even be made so if they where in trouble it would give relay a word back to you so you would know" He thought over her words "The amulet is a good idea, yet one would have to see that it is not dug up by some one, not that I see it happening, but it could & a tree might be a good idea, for it could be used as a life sorce to the magic" He knew that even if they used magic, to build it all would take some time "I do not mind building it with you, with the add of are magic, of course it will still take time for it will be draining to some degree or it could be anyway. But, we can start with what you have & should we learn that more is needed we can always get the items at that point" He waited to see what she would say not sure on her views on things, but he was intrested to see what she thought.

Regina nodded.

"We try it out and if it doesn't work or they don't like it we could think of something else." said Regina.

She nodded.

"Well if we put a spell on it so only one of us could remove it or something. A tree could work but if it's cut down by an axe or by a storm then it's over. Perhaps we need to create something to be the focus. Something we could keep invisible or blend in. No one would notice an extra tree or bush or rock. Of course it wouldn't really be that. It'd just look like one." said Regina.

She nodded.

"Good. You're right. It will take some time to build this. Even if we have all the supplies." said Regina.

She paused motioning him to follow as they headed to her secret storage for the supplies.
