Physical Description:
Royce is a tall slim but fit older man. His hair is dark brown and his eyes so dark they are almost black. He has slightly cold eyes but they are very intelligent as well. He dresses well. Royce tends to wear soft well made black suite with different colored ties. It is a rare thing to see him in anything else. He has large hands and long legs. As a Genie, he is large and a medium blue in color. He has dark hair in a ponytail and a goatee. He is normally legless but can transform himself into almost anything at will.

Storybrooke History:
Royce has just arrived in Storybrooke. Royce is a Fashion Designer. He enjoys making clothes. Tuxedos, Dresses, Uniforms and the such. He will serve anyone as long as they can pay him for his work. Until now, he has traveled the country making clothes for many. He is well known in the fashion circle. He has had a few stores of his own but something was always drawing him towards this area.
It was like night and day when Royce remembered who he was and where he came from. It frightened him at first. Royce wondered if he were loosing his mind. But after he tested his abilities the magic he was able to create put everything in place. Suddenly, he was powerful. Very powerful. This quickly began to go to his head.
Strangely, was in a dream that he remembered his lamp. That seemed to be part of what was pulling him towards the town of Storybrooke. However, he did not realize this until in dreams to follow, he began to see the town. A town sign, flashes of people, and his own lamp on a shelf. He needed it. Suddenly, until he had that lamp, he would not be complete. So Royce packed up his belongings, bought a car and headed for town.
Fantasy History:
The Genie was a slave to his master's / mistress's. To whom ever rubbed the lamp. He could only use his powers when the owner made a wish. He is bound by three laws. He can not kill anyone by magic, he can not make people fall in love though he can help, and he can not revive the dead. When he was in the lamp, he could only give three wishes. However when Aladdin set him free, that rule was broken.
Aladdin came upon the lamp while on a quest in the Cave of Wonders after a conflict with Aldin considering going back on his third wish, released the Genie with his third wish. Genie liked Aladdin from the beginning. He helped Aladdin meet Jasmine and then through out time whenever he was needed. Because Aladdin freed Genie, Genie is very grateful which is why he is always willing to help out.
There has come times when the lamp was taken from Aladdin such as by Jafar. Genie was forced to grant selfish wishes. He found himself a slave with no purpose in life but to entertain Jafar by tormenting the former Sultan. This is until Jafar is made a Genie with his own final wish himself and he is imprisoned in his own lamp.
Anything Else: Royce is tied to his lamp. The owner of the lamp has the power to control the genie. In Storybrooke, Royce is free unless his 'master' needs him and then Royce must obey. He can however grant wishes on his own. He can also alter reality but only for short periods of time. He is a very powerful man in terms of magic.

It had all come together for him now. Royce had always known he was different. Special. But he had had no idea that it would have been like this. That he would be a Djinn. He had spent the past few days trying out his new found powers. Summoning things. Money, material items, changing reality... But much of it did not last long. The material items did. He could summon almost anything. Money however, one of the most powerful of the world only lasted a few days before it vanished. This was disheartening to say the least. He could not buy anything with it because the selling would soon see the money vanish. Altered realities were the same they only lasted a short time. A few hours at the most.
Then the dreams began. Storybrooke was what he always dreamed of. When Royce dreamed of his own lamp, it was accompanied by part of a sign telling him the shop was a pawn shop. He was sure the shop was in Storybrooke. He needed it. He was from them filled with longing for it. He could not rest without it. With the discovery that he was a genie, came the understanding that he was tied to this lamp. No one else could have it. The lamp would make him all powerful.
The next few days were spent closing down his shop and then he packed up what little he wanted to take with him and sold the rest. Royce got into his car, a forest green Cadillac Convertible, and was off for Storybrooke. There was no time to waste.
