Ariel was swimming around in the ocean as she was playing with her ocean life friends. She decided to stop playing at one point and go up to the surface of the water and get some air. She decided to swim close the land, where there were rocks. She lifted her body up and decided to sit on one of the rocks. As she was sitting she decided to sing a song softly and play with her hair. Eventually she was deep in her thoughts as she was doing so.

The Piper had been walking a path close to the beach, when he heard someone singing, it drew him closer for reasons he did not know. As the song grew loader he was not sure who was singing yet, though he was sure it was a female voice, when he was close enough to see the singer he was surprised for he could see it was indeed a woman though as he drew closer, as if the song called him to do so, he saw it was a mermaid. He had heard the stores of them, though even with it he was still not able to keep himself form feeling like being drawn closer, though now he would know he would have to be careful.

Ariel was singing and her mind was preoccupied in her thoughts until she saw someone. She quickly stopped and jumped in the water for she was afraid at first. When she was in the water her eyes appeared as she peered on the man and began studying him. To her, he didn't seem like a threat but she knew she may have to make an escape just incase.

When the mermaid stopped singing, he felt his mind clear some he watched the mermaid, in ways unsure what had happened. But, he felt he should be guarded, for it felt like it was like his flutes power & if that was true he had to be mindful. He had been able to stop once the mermaid stopped singing, so now it was a moment of them just looking at each other & he was not sure what to say, perhaps the idea of surprise at seeing a mermaid.

Ariel looked at the man as they stared at each other for a few minute. Neither of them saying anything, and neither of them unsure about each other. Ariel knew her father would be furious with her if she talked to the human but she decided to waver it just this once. To her, the man didn't seem to want to hurt her so she figured she may be safe. Besides, she could still swim away if there was any harm. She cocked a smile at the man and said, "He-hello."

As he heard the mermaids words, he blinked before he spoke "Hello" He was finally getting back, to a more normal stage, but he still was surprised to see a mermaid something not scene much of even in this world. He felt honored, yet there was the feeling if he would find trouble because of this. "I heard you singing & well, I became interested in who was singing" Best not to say he felt drawn, that likely would not go over well & he was not sure how she would take him saying such a thing.

Ariel nodded to what the man said, but then she blushed. She figured that it was her song that lured the man in and she felt horrible about that. "Sorry." she murmured under her breath as her eyes went looking down at the water. "I thought this part of the land was abandon so I figured I would be ok singing here." she began to trail on but then she stopped. She figured she should stop the subject just incase. "My name is Ariel." she decided to say and gave the man a smile. So far the man seemed ok and thus, Ariel decided to talk to him more and stayed where she was.

The Piper heard her words "The land is fairly abandoned, I just was traveling & I go by the Piper, it is good to meet you Ariel" He nodded to her lightly, to show her respected since he knew to do so, he was raised to do so, even if others did not share his views.

Ariel nodded as the Piper talked to her. She gave him another smile and replied, "It's nice to meet you to." She then bit her lip and gave a quizzical look towards the Piper and she had an idea. "Have you seen a castle near by?" In her nervous state she decided to ask him this question because she figured he might have seen the prince that she was searching for. She figured that it would have been a good enough idea to try and ask him since he said that he was traveling.
