Gold entered the dinner, rent was due & of course he was her on time as always, dressed in a green shirt with a bronze/brown tie with brown pants, with jacket, he limped into the dinner cane in hand as always, of course he did not have to say anything when he saw Granny, she just looked at him knowing what he was here for for why else would he come here? Or at least on the same day the rent was due, he mealy smirked at Granny as he waited for his money.

Ruby felt her stomach flip flop when she saw Mr. Gold enter the diner. She knew exactly what he was there for, it was the first of the month. Just like clockwork, Mr. Gold would show up at the same time on the first of the month to collect the rent.
Usually Ruby made herself scarce while he was there. Mr. Gold had the uncanny ability to both fascinate and terrify her. It was an extremely uncomfortable feeling exacerbated by the fact that she had no idea why. But this month was different.
With the newfound idea of possibly owning the diner one day, Ruby had stepped up to the plate of added responsibility. Unfortunately, that responsibility included dealing with Mr. Gold on rent day.
"Mr. Gold." she said by way of greeting, secretly hoping that her apprehension didn't show through her voice. "I'm guessing you're here for the rent." She reached the hand currently clutching the wad of cash towards him. "It's all there."

Gold saw Ruby approached at her words he spoke "Miss. Lucas" Of course he was not her friend, he could not say he really had any in this world or the last, other then his son & Abi of course, he was not here to make friends ether for it did not work well for him in the end. "I am at that" As she held out the cash to him, he smirked with her words "Of course it is" He moved to take the cash form her hand as he placed it into his suit, to keep it safe. None would cheat him, if they did not want him to do something to them. "Until the first of the month Miss. Lucas, you will pass the word along to your grandmother wont you?"

"Of course." Ruby managed a tight smile. The encounter would be over soon enough, she told herself. "I've taken over several of Granny's duties, so if there is ever a problem or concern with the rent please let me know."

Gold heard Rudy's words he looked at her before he spoke "Very well, I will do that if anything arises, good day Miss. Lucas," He did not care who paid the rent so long as it was payed & he got his money, with that said he turned to leave, he had not reason to stay after all there business was done or at least what he came here for.
