16 year old Rapunzel had left her tower to explore, her feet touched the ground and she grinned. She ran through the woods with her 60ft of hair braided up. She sat on a rock "I can't believe I did this." She said realizing she was Free. "I can't believe I did this." She whispered "I can't believe I did this!" She said grinning. "Mother would be so furious. That's OK though, I mean what she doesn't know won't kill her." She said reassuring herself. "Oh my gosh. This would kill her." She said starting to feel guilty, but then she decided to swing around a tree by tying her braid around a branch. "This is so Much fun!" She laughed, Suddenly she felt more guilt and she stopped to sit on her rock again. "I, am a horrible daughter. I'm going back." She said agreeing with herself, but then she thought about having more fun before she returned to her mother. "I am never going back!" She yelled running through the forest. "I am a despicable human being." She said returning to the rock once more. "Woo-hoo! Best. Day. Ever!" The energetic 16 yelled as she ran through the forest laughing.

Jareth had been in his owl form calmly watching the forest, mainly to get away from the goblins when he heard a young girls voice. He sat where he was watching her with an amused expression as she went from enjoying herself to feeling horrible about it. He flew over to where she was running and gracefully flew in a circle, transforming into his human form. "I'm guessing you haven't been outside before."
Jareth smiled at the girl, as he stood a short distance away so as not to scare her from his sudden appearance. His clothes showed the royalty that he was, in the deep blue hues and expensive jewels on it. Jareth watched the girl with the long blonde hair as he waited for a response.

She jumped at the sound of a Man's voice, her green eyes widened. He looked like a king, and she was barefoot in a purple grass stained dress. "N-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-no I haven't been outside before." She said stuttering and becoming nervous. Gothel never let the young girl leave the tower ever, she held her Frying pan close to her chest. Mr. Whacky brought her comfort, and she wrapped herself up in her hair feeling even more comfortable.
The man seemed to have appeared out of thin air, maybe Rapunzel had slipped and hit her head really hard and that she was just dreaming. Because people do not just pop out of no where.

Jareth stayed where he was, knowing that might terrify her even more. He wondered if this was the first time she even saw another person before. Well, he wasn't exactly the average person, being fae and a King at that. He spoke in soothing voice, "have you met another person before?"
Jareth watched her as she clung to what appeared to be a frying pan and he laughed inwardly at her actions. She really was different from most everyone else he had watched before. Time would only tell how well she would react to him.

"Only my mother." She said biting her lip, why was she telling this stranger all this stuff?? She could not let this man see her magical hair glow. What if he tried to sell it? use her for his own advantage? She grew more careful of this man and reminded herself to think before she speak.
'am I dreaming?' she asked herself because this man seemed out of this world. Her petite figure trembled in fear of this man. "Flower -" She began to sing to herself but then she realized that she as about to reveal her gift.

"I see," Jareth said as if storing that fact away in his mind. It was interesting that she would have only seen her mother. There must be something different about her then. Some reason why she had never known anyone else and had never gone outside.
Jareth realized that he was going to be the first person this young girl ever met outside of her mother. His impression on her was crucial for her to feel safe in this world, for indeed it was full of magic and wonderful things.
Jareth bowed, "Forgive my manners, I am Jareth." He looked at the girl, and smiled. He didn't want to mention that he was King of the Goblins for fear that would scare her ever more, and perhaps she had never even heard of Goblins or him before.

Rapunzel played with the end of her braid reminding herself that hiding her identity as the girl with the LONG magic hair is crucial for her safety. She wondered if this man had magical gifts like she did, but then she had to remind herself that he could be dangerous.
"Im Rapunzel."

Jareth smiled at Rapunzel, he of course had known who she was, but then again he didn't want to let on that he really knew everyone. "Nice to meet you Rapunzel."
He paused before continuing, "so, is there anywhere you want to go? Anything you want to see or know?" He wanted to give her control in the situation, after all he knew her, and about her magic hair. All fae, especially a king had to keep up to speed on such matters, especially magical ones. Though he really had no use for her hair, he just enjoyed talking to people.

"Likewise" she said trying to hide her nervousness around this man. "What are you?" She asked trying not to be rude but she wanted to know how he suddenly appeared and if he was royalty. In all her 16 years of life were spent in a tower, she felt like a prisoner in there and now that she was free, she felt well happy. The man in front of her had blonde hair like she did but his seemed to be untameable.

Jareth laughed at her words. "What am I? That is an interesting question. Though I guess I didn't appear normally."
Jareth looked at Rapunzel, almost sad for her that her first encounter with another person would not be with a regular person. But then again she had her own gift, so it shouldn't come to a surprise for her. "I don't know how much of this will make sense to you, but I am a King. Specifically the King of the Goblins found in the Labyrinth. To be more specific still, I myself am not a goblin but a fae. I was just visiting your world for a break."

Rapunzel giggled at his words " no you didn't." she listened attentively to Jareth's words, hanging onto every word. "You mean they are real? Goblins and Faes I mean." She said in wide wonder. Gothel had always told her that fairy tales were not real and that the only magic in the world was Rapunzel's hair.

Jareth laughed at her words, it was nice to see someone filled with such curiosity and wonder over his existence and of his Kingdom. "Do I look real to you?" Jareth smiled, "yes, fae and goblins are real. There are a lot more magical creatures and people that can use magic than us. It's all around." Jareth said motioning with his hand to the world around.
Jareth looked at Rapunzel, "go on. Satisfy your curiosity, ask me anything. But, on one condition. That you do go out and explore the world. There's no sense telling someone about something if they don't go out and see for themselves how truly magical the world is." Jareth smiled hoping that the girl would go out and explore and learn that there was so much more than her tower, and that she could be a part of that world. After all she was royalty, though he doubted she knew that.

Rapunzel nodded, her green eyes wide at all the infomation this king was teaching her. This man sounded so wise to the young girl, her brain thirsted for more knowledge of this world. "Your Highness, will you take me to your world? I would love to see it." She said curtseying, like she read in the three books Gothel supplied her with.
