Snape was getting use to magic being back & what it meant to him, not only having his powers back, but that he could walk with out his cane if he wanted to, but it helped to keep people fooled to some degree to still use his cane. He also knew that the cane did come in handy should he need to fight or that, but so far he really had not had to do that or so people had not tried his so called temper.
