The skies were overcast that morning when Abi had woken up. She had felt that the weather was a bit odd but Abi had work and she was not about to call in sick because of potential rain. Abi went about her morning as she normally would have. She showered, dressed, ate, and then kiss Mr. Gold goodbye discreetly before they had reached the school.
Nearly an hour later, the storm started. The wind was fierce and the sky turned black. When out in the hall during recess, another teacher had mentioned a tornado warning. The news set her nerves slightly on edge but she was assured that the storm would blow over.
Abi had tried to call Mr. Gold but there had been no answer. He was out making deals, she assumed, or collecting on them.
When the news came that there was indeed a tornado heading for Storeybrooke, Abi did her best to keep calm about everything as she led the students to the gymnasium. It was the only room in the school without windows. Other professors were spreading the word by telephone that The school was the safe spot.

Gold had enjoyed his time with Abi in the morning, though they both headed off to work how ever, it was clear something was in the air & for once it was not the mayor up to something. He had made a few deals though, it was not one of his best days how ever, if people wanted to make a deal he was not about to say no, if it suited him.
He had heard about the tornado warning, so that set him on edge he decided to cheek on Abi, oddly the only thing he worried about. His dagger had no power here & besides that it was safe, where such a storm could not harm it.
Once he got to the school, the clouds where already dark the wind hand picked up, Gold could since the storm that was coming more so now, though for now his concern was Abi & her well being, though he could not say that he did not care for the children's safety as well, it was just not something so said.
Entering the school, it was a bit crazy was the best word though none really stopped to speak with him, other then telling him that the gym is where everyone was to go to.
He headed for the gym & once there, he looked to see who else was here & to see if Abi was here or if she might be someone else.

Elle shifted nervously glancing around everyone in the area had been ordered to the school because of the safety the gymnasium would provide, it had been sheer bad luck she had been out shopping when the warning had hit, she'd just assumed it would be a bad thunderstorm, turning into a tornado warning was not what she expected or wanted, she was sitting a little away from other thankfully she'd managed to shop so she had a sketch book and pencils with her as well as her note book. unsure what else to do then wait out the storm she was sitting and sketching trying to to think about the damage a tornado could do to her little cottage or the elegant gown sitting inside.
Breaking a piece of chocolate from the bar she'd bought she nibbled at it delicately before looking up startled, standing before her was a child not much older then five or six, eying her candy with the look any child gets when having spotted candy, with a weak smile she broke off a piece offering it to the girl who squealed with delight took it and scampered off with out so much as a thank you. Not that Elle really minded she was mute she could hardly say 'you're welcome'
glancing down at her sketch book she blushed she'd been absently sketching the faces of people in the crowd and found her pencil was stroking the shadow in the cheek of of course Mr. Gold, glancing around she noted Miss Abi was there as well Oh right, Abi worked for the school of course she smiled faintly before blushing moving and quickly flipping the page to hide the sketch and start on something different. it seemed when ever she saw him now she felt strange... she wanted to blame the mayor if she never said anything then Elle wouldn't constantly feel so self conscious... or so very aware of him especially of the fact he was well a man, She'd always considered people, people, gender had never been a question people where either nice or mean, welcoming or frighting, the idea that someone was a man or a woman or that a man might mean more then any other hadn't been anything she'd really explored. she blushed eyes fixed on the white page helplessly.

Alyza was out with Jeremy when the siren alarms in town started to go off. Everyone kept sying to head to the school's gymnasium, so Alyza grabbed Jeremy's arm and they ran off to the school. There, a lot of other Storybrookers were gathered in small groups; each one of them a little bit nervous. "Where do we go from here?" Alyza called out. "What's going on" She added, her voice shaking as she spoke aloud.
