A Question Asked (Abi)

Gold had the house rooms filled with roses, to give more a life to the home. There was also rose petals & Hersey kisses on the ground that ran all over, but it was most heavy running up the steeps to what he called there room. There he had a note on the bed, surround by the petals & kisses, the note read as fallowed


-I leave rose petals & kiss upon the ground you walk. Yet, I know now more then before that I am nothing with out you, I have found my time away form you has left my heart empty & with a chipped cup, that is all, but a reminder of what I had at the time, but I have you once more. One who, I would give anything for to keep safe & protected or do anything if, but asked it. And there is some thing I must ask, that I must know & I have wanted to ask if for some time, though unsure how to & yet I must-

Gold waited for her to look at him, to know she had read the note & it was time to ask, he find the courage to, with it he knelt down before he, it hurt a little tough not enough to stop him. "I know I am not worthy of you, but I am truly nothing with out you, for you are one of the few lights with in my life that gives me reason to live. I was a fool, to think you did not love me & for turning you away the first time, I cannot bear the idea to lose you twice & the love that you have for me"

With that he pulled out the gem rose that was very detailed he had made, the red was a ruby & the green was emerald, the gems where as pure as could be & the rose had cover that went to gether, in side the rose was a box that held the ring that he had brought form there world one that he was sure he help remind her of her kingdom, forever & all of time.

Abi entered the house and paused she had smelled the roses as soon as she had opened the door and now as she had closed the door, she was engulfed in the scent. Abi glanced around and she smiled. "What is this?" Abi asked herself as she started forward. It was almost like a trail. Abi headed up the stairs and stopped to pick up a Hershey Kiss. She opened the choc late and popped it into her mouth savoring he taste.

She followed the roses and chocolates to the bedroom she and Mr. Gold shared more often than not. Her eyes fell on the bed and the note. She tilted her head slightly and then picked up the piece of paper. She had not seen him at this point. She did not know that he was in here as well. Abi began to read and as she went on she smiled softly. She understood what this was...she thought she did at least. Was he going to ask her to marry him? The thought made her giddy.

Abi turned slowly to go and find him and that was when she saw him. When Gold got onto one knee Abi's heart began to beat faster in her chest and her smile widened. He was going to ask... suddenly she was nervous. Was she ready for this? Was she ready to get married? She loved him yes but Abi was not sure if she could be a good wife. "I know I am not worthy of you," He told her. Abi disagreed but would say nothing to stop him from speaking right now. "but I am truly nothing with out you, for you are one of the few lights with in my life that gives me reason to live. I was a fool, to think you did not love me & for turning you away the first time, I cannot bear the idea to lose you twice & the love that you have for me"

She remembered that day in the cell he had shoved her into. When he told her to leave. It had hurt so badly. But that was the past. And she did love him. More than anyone else. The rose stunned her. It was beautiful. It was like a large jewel. Abi looked from the flower to him. He had not asked her yet and Abi was not going to get excited until he did.

Gold hear Abi first words when they entered he had only smiled before he spoke "Perhaps a trail" Though it was clear she though the same thing already, he had fallowed her as everything then played out. His heart beat was rapid not the idea of Abi being his wife, just the though she could say no. He got his courage to ask, to speak on form what he already say "Will you marry me Abigail & become my wife?" With that he waited for her answer, hoping she would say yes & fearful some how she would say no. He waited for her answer, knowing that it would not likely be easy yet, when he looked at his life she made it worth living & he was willing to take any issues that might come form them getting married.

"Will you marry me Abigail & become my wife?" He asked her. The words most women loved to hear. She realized that she was just standing there and saying nothing. Abi had to say something. "Yes." She finally told him and then smiled brightly. With that she bent and then put her arms around his shoulders and hugged him to her. All kinds of thoughts went through her brain. A wedding, large or small... a wedding dress... but who could she invite? She did not know many people. But then again, would he want a privet wedding? She didn't even have a ring on yet...

Gold heard her answer, he let out a breath he did not know he had even been holding. As she lowered her self to his level he was glade for at the moment, it just made things essayer on him, at her hug her felt relief wash over him, once more as if knowing now it was not a dream.

He softly spoke "Your answer has truly made me happy & before I spoke these words, you had me speechless beyond words, be becouse of how happy I was"

Gold moved to show her the ring, that lay hidden inside the rose he knew that later another ring would need to be chosen, as many other plans needed to be made, but right now everything was perfect & right at least to him.

Once the ring was out he moved to place it on her hand, before he lightly kissed her knuckles of the hand with the ring. "I would gladly spend the rest of my days, proving my love for you & just how fast it is, there is no light brighter then my love for you & no greater glory then knowing I was lucky to find true love in this world & the one before with you as well"

With that said, he moved to kiss Abi as if to show a flicker of the love he held for her & felt.

Abi heard his words and they made her smile grow. She watched as he opened the beautiful rose and exposed the ring. The ring was stunning. It reminded her of the other world. Abi's eyes met his for a moment and then she lifted her left hand towards him. Abi had not expected this. Of course she knew that they were closer than he was with anyone else but to think that he wanted her as his wife... Would she even make a good wife? Would she be a disappointment to him? That worried her. He had sent her away once.

"I would gladly spend the rest of my days, proving my love for you & just how fast it is, there is no light brighter then my love for you & no greater glory then knowing I was lucky to find true love in this world & the one before with you as well" He had told her and tears had formed in Abi's eyes. She swallowed hard and then when he kissed her, she returned the kiss softly. Her arms went around him yet again and the hand with the ring slipped into his hair.

Gold felt Abi return his kiss, he was glade she did a sign that she returned his feelings. He knew he would do everything he could to keep her safe & he knew what it could cost him, though in this world there was only two he would do this for one was Abi, the other was his son he had yet to find. Though he would with time, he was not quick to break or stop the kiss, but the need for air was something they both would need & that would force the break in the kiss. When the kiss was broke Gold chuckled lightly "I see you can take my breath away"

He waited for her to answer before he spoke again "As fun as it would be to continue to kiss you, it might be wise to speak of things such as what kind of wedding, if you have any idea of a date for it, what you want form me out of this & I am sure there is much more you want to ask, you have but to ask it & I will answer as best as I can"
