Not Sure What To Think

Herman was not sure what to make of the news he had learned that the man he thought was his father was not & a wanted man was suppose to be, he felt at a lose on how to feel. He would have to think about it, he of course would seek his brother out later to speak to him. He was not sure what to say or think he was confused yet he no had to think on that his supposed father was not only form hat he knew not a royal but, he was a murder. For right now he would just stay in his room to think over things & allow his mind to think over what was new.

Thomas meanwhile had given his brother space. He'd been able to convince him to let him go. But he knew it was hard to accept. He sighed as he knocked on the door. He had to talk to him.

"Herman? Can I come in? Please. I want to talk to you." said Thomas.

He sighed as he didn't hear anything.

"Alright. If you want to be alone I'll let you. Just don't say anything. I'll give myself up. I'll tell what I did and you weren't part of it. They'll probably kill me but at least you'll be safe. I couldn't save mom but I will save you and our real father's lives. Even if it costs me mine." said Thomas.

He turned and began to walk away.

He heard his brothers words he said nothing, wishing to be alone for now yet with his brothers last words he moved to go after him. He had not idea what their steep father would do to them, he might still think they both had something to do with events & he might not kill them or he could, but he could harm them with out killing them as well. "Thomas wait" He was not sure what to say yet he knew he had to stop his brother.

Thomas paused hearing his brother tell him to wait. He paused looking back opening the door as he walked in.

"If we keep quiet we're both safe. I know you're just as shocked as I am. We're not really princes. King Charles isn't our father. He took our mother away from our real father where she was happy. He split up our family and I think the only thing keeping mom going was us. But she's gone now. All we really have is each other and our real father." said Thomas.

He paused waiting for him to reply. He knew his father was out of the kingdom by now and safe. But he worried about him. He paused another realization hitting him.

"What if we overthrow our stepfather? Take back the kingdom. No one knows we're not really princes. He doesn't know either. We take over and rule the kingdom together. We can suggest he go into early retirement or banish him if necessary. As much as I'd like to kill him for what he did to our parents that would draw too much attention. And then we couldn't help this kingdom. But if you prefer for us to run, find father and start a new life somewhere else I'd be okay with that too. What do you want to do?" said Thomas.

He listened to his brothers words it was true it was a shock, but who would not be with such news. "Yet we are Princes as far as anyone is concerned, for other kingdoms to are own people" He waited as his brother finished with the rest of his words "I cannot see how running is the option to take & overthrow our stepfather could get use killed if we are caught or something goes wrong" He knew it was a fact yet saying it only made sure they both knew it "Yet I am not sure what would give are steep father enough reason to leave & if it came to it banishing him might be the only option"

He waited a moment as he spoke on "I do not mind over throwing him, yet it would be wise to have everything in order, before such actions are taken like I am not sure if both of use would live here later on or if strengthening an old place on the lands would be best. Also, if their is anyone in court or such that would work for are stepfather even if he is gone & reported to him. The question on who runs what should also be taken into account. Much like any ideas on where to get the money besides the people to get this kingdom back to its full strength?" It was true much had to be done & spoken off, he did not wish to just jump into this matter & get them both killed, but it would take time & also they needed a plan to help their kingdom rise to its full power with out crushing the people form it.

Thomas nodded.

"And perhaps that's how it should stay then." said Thomas.

"Running could get us killed us as well. Or our stepfather might think we were kidnapped and have the whole kingdom searching for us. And you're right we have to be careful. We'd have to plan the takeover perfectly." said Thomas.

Thomas listened as his brother weighed the options.

"We take over the kingdom then. But we plan this out and wait for the right moment. We build loyal followers in the palace and outside of it. It might take months to do but it'd be worth it in the end. As for banishing him perhaps it should be to some island or something. I mean depending how many loyal followers he has if we banish him and he comes back he could try to take over again himself." said Thomas.

Thomas nodded as Herman had the same ideas about being prepared.

"Perhaps we should use both. Our stepfather was not a good king. Perhaps we could rule this kingdom together brother as kings. As they say two heads are better than one. We could use both castles. Maybe we could each live in one. Or use one for vacations or guests. We should try to fix up the old castle at least and then decide what to do with it." said Thomas.

Thomas nodded thinking about money.

"Borrowing from other kingdoms would just leave us in debt to them. And we're already having money problems. Perhaps we should talk to King Midas. He has the golden touch right? I'm sure we could have him turn a few things to gold for us and we could sell them and have more than enough money." said Thomas.

He listened to his brothers words. "Perhaps we could ask him to turn a few things to gold for use, but what we give King Midas for his help?" He could see his brothers point "Yes getting the other castle build would be good & their is no reason we cannot rule together of course if we come to a disagreement on something I think doing out of sight of are people the best". He thought a moment "we should have little issue getting people to help us, yet we will have to be mindful of who we pick so they do not turn out to be a spy & as for are steep father if we send him else where & fear he might come back perhaps a spell or something can be used to see he cannot enter are kingdom unless we allow it, not saying it would happen yet if it did it could be dealt with then"

Thomas frowned at that.

"Perhaps an alliance between our kingdoms." said Thomas.

He paused trailing off and shook his head.

"No. Everyone probably offers that I suppose. Maybe offer some goods in return. I'm sure there's some plants or something that only our kingdom creates that we could give." said Thomas.

He paused knowing Abigail was engaged to Prince James so an marriage was out.

"Yes. We could rule together. That makes the most sense. Equal kings. That way we have to agree on things. Kings before were unopposed because there was one. But with two we can run our kingdom fairly and make sure power doesn't go to our head." said Thomas.

He nodded.

"Perhaps we can even seek out other kingdoms as well for aid. Prince James is a good friend of mine. He's marrying Princess Abigail last I heard. Perhaps Prince James could put a good word inf or us with Midas. It couldn't hurt." said Thomas.

He shrugged.

"For a spell that powerful we'd need to see the Dark One. It's the only way we can guarantee it'd work. But he would want something in return. I'm not sure what we could offer him for his help either. We need help from Midas and The Dark One now. We just need to figure out what to give them." said Thomas.
