Ribbitin, was working a the ppol he was taking the time to get use to the water to get his body ready for the job to come, that was with doing a few laps in the pool before others would show up for lessons or that.

Thumbelina/Phoenix/Lina Parker Lina arrived in a pink swimsuit as she'd come to enjoy a few laps. She had always enjoyed swimming and thought it'd be fun. She spotted Ribbitin in the pool and smiled glad to see her old friend she met on the bridge again. It did feel like it had been awhile since she'd seen him last. She set her bag and towel on the chair. She guessed the pool wasn't open yet since Ribbitin was the lifeguard and he was swimming in the pool. Perhaps she'd come too early. She shrugged taking a seat next to her things waiting for the pool to open. Maybe she could chat with Ribbitin for a bit if he had the time. |

Ribbitin had gotten to the shallow end, when he saw Lina he stopped before he moved to stand before walking for the steeps to speak with Lina or if she wanted a lesson he would help. He was dressed in blue swimming trunks, he smiled to her as he spoke "It is good to see you again? Are you hear for a lesson or just for a swim?" He was not sure if she just wanted to talk, yet dressed as she was he was sure that it was to swim in some way.

Thumbelina/Phoenix/Lina Parker Lina turned hearing Ribbitin and smiled. "It certainly has been awhile. I wish I could come swim here more often. But I'm glad I'm here now. Although I guess I'm a little earlier than I realized." said Lina. She heard his question and smiled. "I'm here for a swim. I don't need a lesson. But thank you for the offer. I've been swimming since I was little. I just love being in the water. It's just so relaxing." said Lina. |

Ribbitin heard her words & smiled "Well it is always best, to ask on if on knows how to swim.. not that I do not mind coming to the rescue" He watched her. "That is alright, you are wecome to start swimming early or not & if you ever want to come here on my time off or the days I work just let me know, would be willing to give you a ride here & back"

Thumbelina/Phoenix/Lina Parker Lina smiled and nodded. "Thank you. Well I'm glad you're here to keep us safe. Although I hope you don't have to save anyone." said Lina. She smiled blushing a little as he kept watching her. He was attractive she had to admit and seeing him shirtless and wet in that pool didn't help either. She had only met him once before today at the bridge. She also liked he was a good lifeguard and he spoke like a poet. He loved nature just like she did. He was so kind too. But a guy like him probably already had a girlfriend. Still she wished she could get to know him more. She smiled as he offered her rides when he was off or working. "I wouldn't want you to go to any trouble for me but if you don't mind I'd appreciate it. We don't really have a car so I have to walk around town to get everywhere. It's good exercise but well it does wear you out. So I don't usually get to swim as much as I liked to cause I had to walk so much to get here." said Lina. She smiled hearing him say she could swim if she wanted to. "Really? I'd love to go for a swim before too many people get here and it gets too crowded." said Lina. She smiled sitting up as she headed to the deep end and dove into the pool getting completely soaked. She then smiled as she swam over to the shallow end to meet Ribbitin. "I missed swimming. I hope to come here more often. Race you to the other side?" said Lina. She laughed and began swimming to the other side. |

Ribbitin heard Lina words, he chuckled lightly "You are right, I hope to not have to save anyone, but will if need be. Alright deal if I am free & you want I ride I would be happy to do so, I just enjoy driving & it is not like Storybrooke is that big so, if you need to go else were you only need ask. I have been there with out a car, I know how much it helps to have someone give a helping hand" As she moved to drive into the water, he was proven how much she could swim at her words as she took off to race him he moved to take off after her, if he won or not he would enjoy it, after all races always was fun to him.

She made it to the other side pausing to catch her breath only to see Ribbitin had beaten her. "You swam so fast. No wonder you're the lifeguard. I know we're all safe with you around." said Lina. She liked spending time with him. First on the bridge and now here. Maybe they could hang out when he wasn't working. If they just remained friends she'd be okay with it. But if something else happened she'd like it too. Only time would tell she guessed. She smiled at him. "So are you a lifeguard all week? I mean what are hours? Cause I really don't have that many friends in Storybrooke. And well I'd like to hang out with you again. When you're not working. Like the day at the bridge together was fun." said Lina. |

He was surprise when he beat Lina, yet it could of mealy been he had more practice, he heard her words "Well it helps when being the lifeguard, yet I also have had a bit more practice at the time" He could not help, but return her smile just something with her doing it made him want to do it.
"Most the time I work during the week, for a few hours & have the week end off, yet there are times I am willing to come in on my days off to help out" He did not miss her last words "I would enjoy hanging out with you, we can do so after I get off today if you want or even tomorrow for I work only 8am-11am & yes it is always fun hanging out with you"

She paused as he said he'd want to hang out with her today. "I don't have anything planned today. Today's my day off. How about we go to Granny's or something?" said Lina. She wasn't really sure what she wanted to do really. She just wanted to spend time with Ribbitin. She smiled and began swimming again knowing it wouldn't be long before the pool was open and she wouldn't be able to swim and talk with Ribbitin after that as he'd be on duty. |

He nodded to her words "Most the time, it might change at times like yours" He smiled to her "It is good that you help your mother out" Watching her he watched her "We can go to Granny's if you want, I get off a bit after lessons, but I am not sure if you would like more time before we meet up?" As she started to swim, he moved to match her pace of speed deciding for now he would enjoy his so cared free time.

And my mother doesn't really have anyone else at the moment to help her run the shop. Eventually she'll have to retire so one day I'll probably be running it myself." said Lina. She smiled hearing him. "That sounds great. I dont' need anymore time than that. Is there open swimming or lap swimming during the lessons?" asked Lina. She smiled as they kept swimming as she soon reached the other end. She was sure she'd beaten him that time but didn't really care either way. She was having fun. |

Once they made it to the end of the pool Lina had betten him, he had not missed her words he smiled to her before he spoke "There is nothing wrong with helping family, for they cannot be replaced & are parents should always be taken care of. And I am sure if you take over your mother would be very happy that you did so, with out leaving"
He had moved to watch her as he spoke on "It verys threw lessons, but most the time swimming is open just areas changes today will be younger childern learing to swim so the shallow end will not be open, but the rest of the pool is open"
This was endeed alote of fun, he could not think of more time that he had enjoyed such a simple thing as a swim, yet he was sure it was the company.

At least this way she had a future job lined up. There was no guarantee if she went off to college she'd get a job or be able to keep it. "So there is open swim. It'll just be the deep end. Well that's fun. I guess I can swim the few laps I can before classes start." said Lina. She smiled really enjoying herself as they kept swimming. (ooc: You want to do a time skip to after his shift at some point? So they could go hang out together at Granny's or something.) |

"Yes, if it would change any day you show & I am here I will let you know" He also would look at speaking with the owners on making a note on days it was on open swim when lessons where taking place. He swam with her until the lessons would have to start, of course then they would have to part ways if for only a time, so he could give lessons yet he looked forward to getting to go out with her even if it was only friends.
(We can do the time skip)
