Mowgli woke up in his new home. It had been a few days since the Piper had taken him from the village. He had some sort of magical flute that had got him and the other kids out. He didn't know the other kids that well and the Piper just said he was teaching the village a lesson but wouldn't go into any detail. He was left in a cave and then the Piper had returned without the kids saying the lesson was over and he asked Mowgli if he wanted to go with him as he wanted to adopt him.

Mowgli had been speechless at first. The only family he'd really known were the wolf pack and his friends Baloo and Bagheera. But this man wanted to be his family. His friends and family had felt he was better off with man even though he wanted to stay in the jungle. Shere Khan was gone for the moment but he could return. He had decided to go with the Piper curious to see what the world was like outside the jungle and always feeling he could come back to the jungle some day.

Mowgli yawned as he sat up. He felt different wearing pants, shirts, and shoes as his new father had told him it got colder in some places and he would need to wear this stuff and sometimes even more stuff like coats and things to keep warm. He smiled as he realized he was already starting to think of him as his father. The man had been kind to him. He would always love his wolf family but now he could have a new one as well. He glanced around not seeing the Pied Piper anywhere as he realized he was hungry. So he went to the cupboard seeing some bread as he broke off a piece and began eating it.

The Piper had taken in a boy he found, in a village that well he did not do well with in a deal gone wrong, how ever all his deals the promises he made with villages learned well the meaning of keeping a promise to another. As the Piper entered the home he had, he saw Mowgli he smiled to him. He had some rabbits, in his one hand that he had snarred in the early morning, he moved to cared them into the hom after closing the door behind him "Morning, I hope you sleep well?" With that he moved to carry the rabbits that where cleaned over close to the fire place seating them down on a table, he than moved to remove a back he had threwn over his back that had a few vetagbles he had found, he had washed them why out side now it was only a matter of cutting them up, as well the rabbit to make a stew for them to eat. As he waited for an answer he moved, to set to work on getting the stew ready & than could start to cook it, somthing that would be filling, he had no reason to let his son or one he took on as his son, to not feel the hunger that came to so many others.

Mowgli turned seeing the Piper arrive and he smiled.

"Morning. I slept okay. The clothes are going to take awhile to get used to though." said Mowgli.

He kept eating the piece of bread for now seeing the Piper bring in rabbits. He turned away grateful he hadn't befriended any rabbits while in the jungle. But still he didn't want to see the Piper preparing the food. He had asked his new father to not hunter any bears, black panthers, or wolves in the case they were a member of his old family or friends. The Piper had told him he usually just got deer or rabbits local animals as they weren't many panthers or bears or wolves where they lived so he was relieved. At least he wouldn't be forced to eat an animal he knew back in the jungle.

The Piper smiled lightly to Mowgli, with his first words "I am sure it well of course there is times that like when you go to the creek or river to swim that you do not have to wear as much, but I will help you in all the ways I can" He smiled to Mowgli as he spoke again "I am glade you sleep well" He could almost since Mowgli did not like the idea of eating meat, it was only more clear with his requested to him, he would do what he could to keep meat away form Mowgli "If it would help, I can keep the meat sepreted form the rest of the food, it is just duning the winter it could be harder to avoid it"

Mowgli smiled at him reminded that he could wear less while swimming so he wouldn't have to wear these all the time. But he would try to get used to them. The Piper was kind enough to adopt him and give him a new home and a new family. He could at least stick it out here. It wasn't like the jungle was really safe for him. Shere Khan could be back there by now. He sighed doubting he'd ever see the jungle again.

"How about you? Did you sleep ok?" asked Mowgli.

He paused as he said he could keep the meat separated.

"Oh that's ok. I don't mind eating meat. I ate meat all the time when I lived with my wolf family. It took me awhile to get used to it. I'm just glad I'm not in the jungle anymore. I had begun eating mostly fruits after I left my wolf fmaily. Since I didn't really know to hunt before I came to the village. Before you found me. I'm glad I'm here now. If we were still in the jungle I'd worry about accidentally eating one of my friends or family." said Mowgli.

The Piper, heard Mowgli words "Alright, I sleep well & we can make a steew witht he meat & there could be times that you could go back to the jungle to see your friends, it would just not be somthing that could be done all the time, but I would understand if you wished to see them still" He could see the boys want to keep his family that he knew, but he also knew that a life as he was living would be hard & more so with hunters that went threw the jungle.

Mowgli smiled hearing his father.

"I'm glad you slept well. I know you didn't have to take me in but you did anyway. Thank you." said Mowgli.

He paused as he said he could go back to the jungle sometimes to visit his friends.

"You mean that? I could go visit them? I didn't expect to go back until I was an adult. But now I won't have to lose them." said Mowgli.

He smiled touched and really grateful now. He paused realizing he knew nothing about living in a village like this. Or how to play with kids. They'd probably think he was weird or savage so he'd probably be sticking close to home for awhile. But the thought he could see his animal friends and family again did make him happy.

"I am glade that I am glade to give you a home to call your own" He smiled to him as he spoke "Of course you could, I am not expecting you to never see them again or get the chance, I mean it might not be as much as you want, but they are still your family even if they are animals" He watched Mowgli "I will help you any way I can, there is some other kids around here you are welcome play with if you want"

Mowgli smiled at the piper.

"I don't know where I'd be right now if it wasn't for you. Thanks. And I know it will take me time to adjust to living here but I'll try. And i'll be good." said Mowgli.

He smiled still glad he could go back and visit his home in the jungle and all his friends. He paused as Piper mentioned going out to play with kids wondering if the guy coudl read his mind.

"I don't know. I didn't fit in with the kids at the village. I probably won't fit in here either." said Mowgli.

He paused as his stomach began to growl as he smelled the food.

"Do you know how much longer it will take to make?" asked Mowgli.

The Piper smiled to Mowgli "I am sure that you will Mowgli" The Piper did not miss Mowgli words "Do not count out anything until, you try & besieds the children will come to accepted you, some might take longer than others" He smiled as he heard Mowgli stomic growl at his words he moved to cheek the steew to see if it was ready "It will be a few mins, but if you wish to wash up it will be ready shortly" With that the Piper moved to wash up before granning some wooden bowls & spoons before he moved to fill the bowls with food & set it on the table for both of them. He also moved to get the some water out of another bucket & filled some wooden cups for them to drink form

Mowgli smiled glad the Piper had such faith in him. It made him not want to disappoint him. He paused looking up as he said he should at least try and it might take awhile for some to accept him.

"But I'm a boy from the jungle. The kids in the village only a couple of them really liked me. The rest just made fun of me. I was glad to leave there. But I don't know if I want to play with the other kids here. I don't want to be made fun of. But I guess that's going to happen anyway." said Mowgli.

He paused as he looked up as he said the fod would be ready in a few minutes and began gathering bowls and things and told him to wash up. He nodded finding a bucket of water in the corner he quickly washed his hands and face as he took a seat at the table waiting to eat.

He heard Mowgli words "I suppose it is for many, it is sad when children do so to others. However perhaps we can find away to make them want to be your friends more, such as we could teach you to play an instrument or perhaps your skills in the jungle would allow you to do things like hitting a target with a rock or sprear or that" He only hopped that it would not be greatly hard on his son or one who he saw as such, once they where washed up he moved to pour some of the soup into bowls for them & fill there glasses so they could drink "If you want more food or that, there is more"

Mowgli nodded listening to him.

"I guess I should try at least. Maybe I'll find some friends." said Mowgli.

He paused as he said he could try to show him to play an instrument or maybe his skill in the jungle would help him.

"But I never learned how to use a spear. I was raised by wolves." said Mowgli.

He paused as he poured soup into the bowls and said there was more if he wanted it. Mowgli smiled and thanked him and began eating.

"Mmm. This is good. You're a great cook." said Mowgli.

He grinned as he kept eating.

He heard Mowgli words "I am sure that you will & I can teach you to threw a spear if you wish to learn, I might not know all but what I do, I gladly will teach you if you are intrested" He smiled light with his words he liked the food "I am glade you like it & one thing with cooking is you get better at it with time or at least those that wish to improve do, somthing else I can teach you if need be" He just did not know if it would need ot go to that point or not, but he would do all he could to help the boy out to see that he was ready to face the world or as ready as one could be anyway.

Mowgli's grinned hearing that.

"You could teach me? Thanks." said Mowgli.

He grinned as he kept eating. When he heard Piper's words he chuckled.

"Well it helps having a great cook for a father." said Mowgli.

He grinned as he nodded.

"I'd like that. Being able to cook for myself. Just in case you're not here. Or maybe we could take turns once I know how." said Mowgli.

He wanted to be useful. Maybe if he learned how to use a spear and cook he could useful. Helpful. Even if he didn't get any new friends.
