Gold, was in his shop he had opened as he always did & then went about doing what he needed to do for the day. It would be interesting to see who came since, when people came it was ether because he asked them there or they owned him money, but at times people did come in because they where looking for something & where a bit more willing to work with Gold, to get what it was they wanted.

Paige walked into the shop. "Hi Mr. Gold! Do you have anything that would be good to get my father for his birthday?" Paige wanted to make this year special for her father, but she didn't know what to get him.

Gold was finishing something up at the counter, when Paige walked into his shop, the bell above the door told him so, he looked up to see her. Gold, was not nearly as hard on children as he was adults perhaps one more weakness, yet it was just him as well since children were still learning. At her words, he though before he spoke "Hello Paige, I might what where you looking at getting him or what is he into?" That would at least narrow down what might & might not work.

Paige looked around the shop. "Hello Paige, I might what where you looking at getting him or what is he into?", she heard Mr. Gold respond. It took her quite some thought about what her father might like. "Well, he does adore hats... but he makes them for himself and sells them in his hat shop... i would like to get him something that he can cherish forever... something that won't rot away, or get ruined..." She wondered if he would have anything that came to her appealing.

Gold listened to Paige words, he though about it for a moment before he spoke "The idea of a hat band comes to mind, though I am sure your father makes them as well" He paused a moment before he spoke "Perhaps something like a pocket watch or even something like a hat pin" Of course the class of hat pin was just that there was a number he had of all kinds, as well watches though.

Paige liked the idea of getting him a pocket watch. "What colors does your pocket watches come in? I think I might get him one of those." Paige seemed pretty excited now.

At Paige question he though a moment before he spoke "Gold, Silver, Bronze, copper & black" With that he would wait for Paiges words or if she had any more questions, so now he waited. A watch could go well with a suit or other clothing, it was a classic look into the new world, though some classic looks never went out of style why, others did.

Paige was amazed by all of the colors he had. "I'll get him the gold one. I'm sure he'll love it. How much does it cost, though?"

At her words he heard her answer, fallowed by her question "It would be $30.00 & that covers an inscription you would want" So he would see if a sell would be made or not, the price was not high, though some could see it that way. Most the time, he did have resenable offers, though some things he had, it was because of there age that a price changed.

Paige was delighted. The pocket watch was cheap, and she could get an engraving on it. "Yes, please. I'll take it. Can you have it say, 'I love you, Papa. Love, Paige'? It's the perfect gift! Thank you so much Mr. Gold for helping me find something. I'm not the best at gift shopping..." She blushed a little, and she showed him an excited smile.

Gold gave a flicker of a smirk & smile, before he spoke "Your welcome Paige, it will take me about 20mins to do the engraving. Did you want to wait why I do it or did you have anything else to do?" As he spoke Gold moved to a display where he drew out a gold pocket watch, before moving to the area were he could do the engraving.

Paige smiled back at Mr. Gold. "I can just simply wait here. I have nothing else to do. Mr Gold, do you need any help around here? I mean, on days like today, when the shop has been busy? Cause, I'd be more than happy to help." Paige asked excitedly.

Gold nodded with her words he moved so he could start the engraving, he did not miss her words though he did not take his eyes off what he was doing. "It is nice that you offer Paige, but to have you help, I would want to make sure your father was aright with it first"

Paige smiled. "I already asked him before I came here. I need service hours for school and i just wanna help out. Sure looks like you could use an extra hand." She walked over to one of the display tables. "Where do you get all of these antiques anyways?" She asked in curiousity.

Gold heard Paige hours "I suppose at times it is nice, having an extra set of hands, though I have grew use to getting along with out help. How ever I can have you help me a few hours each week if that helps & as for where I got the antiques, some came with me when I came here, others I bought or traded for & some where brought in to be sold, for someone needed the money"
Gold was done with the engraving, he moved to clean the metal the engraving was & to also seal it so that the metal would not be effected. Taking another look over it to see that it was, done he moved to the counter as he spoke "The your watch is done Paige"
