David watched her. She was a girl. A child and she should not be living on her own. David did not understand how sheriff Swan could let her continue on like this. "You should not be living on your own." He told her now. "You should be in a foster home." He did not know what she expected from him. She trusted him? That was fine but now he was torn with the choice of having her taken to a home or continuing on the way she was not.

Alex looked at David now hearing what he had said. "No! I cannot go to a foster home! They'll take me away from here! I can't leave! Storybrooke is my home! I need to find my mother if anything!" She got up and walked back over to Flame. She was sobbing now, for she just couldn't think of ever leaving Storybrooke, and worse, leaving her father.

Gold had come to the stables to well, collect rent he still showed no favor to his businesses that he owned & rented, as he entered the stables there was the smell of horse how could there not be, though for the moment he was looking for David, not really caring what the man was doing at the moment since he was owed. Abi, had helped to ease him some of people, but not fully he was still his normal old self.

Alex looked up to see David puzzled. She looked over her shoulder and saw Mr Gold coming in. He looked as though he was looking for someone. Alex got up and walked over to greet him. "Hello Mr Gold! What bring you here?" Coraline said all perky and happy. She had know idea why but she adored Mr Gold. He was one of her favorite adults that lived here in Storybrooke.

Gold heard Alex words "Miss. Stableer, I came looking to speak with Mr. Nolan" He was sure David knew he was to pay Gold today, it was more a matter if he had the money or not. Though Gold was decent around Alex, perhaps the only thing that Gold had more softness was for children.
