The Snow Queen's Return

Bells jingled a soft warning as the cold air in the forest she drove through grew colder, passing out of the lands of the enchanted forest she breathed deeply the crisp air of her kingdom. the gems full of her magic fired with life back int hei home, the magic in the very snow shining eagerly having anticipated the return of the mistress of winter.

the sleigh carried her home and with her furs wrapped around her and her gown billowing out behind her the young new queen smiled entering her home and looking over the cold white pillars, the beautiful sculptures of ice and snow, this was her home one of cold and ice. walking along she gestured, animals that thrived in her world wandered freely through the halls, one the condition none hunted or killed with in. she understood many of them fed on meat many of them hunted and they could do so, out side. she would have no blood spilled in her palace.

stepping into the grand throan room for a moment she paused looking around, save the thickly furred animals there wasn't a single person. as she walked up to the grand chair that was her throat the layers of furs spilled from her frame forming a beautiful carpet behind her until only she clad in her Icy gown aseded the steps and settled on the throan.

A silvery fox ran up glittering on it's neck was a shining collar of the most exquisite crystal and with a mewling sound it launched itself into her lap and curled up content in even the lightest warmth of her as her hand gently stroked the fur and she leaned back closing her eyes contently "I am home." she said softly feeling at peace now her duty was done for the year. of course in a few months the fairies would return and she would once again take to her sleigh and for many days she would ride through the worlds removing the snows enchantments and allowing the fairies to bring spring to all worlds but her, no her kingdom stayed snow and ice.. and beutiful comforting cold.

Rumple was in his dark castle, he felt the chill that winter brought on & we it he knew what that meant, the Snow Queen had returned, of course he did not miss the stories about her, it was just he was not one to go looking to make deals, those always came to him, but then why not just show up.

Nothing against his nature to do so, to find out what was new & what he might be able to use for later, he giggled at the idea with in he snapped his fingers purple smoke in golfed him when he left he had his leather on, though this one, the inside in places mostly in the vest where it was not seen had fur to keep him warm not that the cold bothered him much, but just because he knew the coldest would be at the Snow Queens home.

All it took was another snap of his fingers & he was at the Snow Queens castle, he did not ask to be invited not that he really though he should ask, no he just entered deciding to take the issue if one up with the Queen her self.

The snow warned her of magic before the creature even appeared standing she sent the fox on its way and banished the animals from the throne room standing tall and proud when the one and Only Rumpelstiltskin stepped into her hall she shifted stepping forward the gems containing her magic winked like fire as she moved with fluid grace hair seemed to swirl as snow fell with each step, the icy colored gown she wore adorned with crystals of Ice and gems mined by the hands of men and dwarves.

Stepping down the steps to face the creature on level ground he'd see even though she was born to poverty she'd always been meant to be queen she carried herself with a noble pride head held high and even though she looked on him not down her nose or with scorn but with a civil curiosity why was the renowned deal maker here she had made no requests

"I suppose welcoming yu in would be pointless after you've already simply allowed yourself past my door.s' she said with a cool civil tone moving waving an arm the floor barley shook as ice speared up from it to the side a bit snow swirling around until a neat little table and two chairs had be created on the table where two fine wine glasses crafted from the ice containing a deep red fine wine

"Please sit, I have only just returned from my journey spreading winter I am weary, I'm sure you understand." she said the chair slid it's self out for her for a moment the snow swirled taking the shape of a man holding the chair for her and pushing it in as she sat before vanishing the chair on the other side slid out for him but the male figure of snow didn't appear as it had for her

"Please." she said with a gesture offering him the other chair.

Rumple entered the castle he saw the Snow Queen rise form her thron before moving down the steeps to great him, as the Dark One he feared nothing, not any more. He heard her first words -I suppose welcoming yu in would be pointless after you've already simply allowed yourself past my door.s- "No, it would not, but if you feel you must I am not stopping you" His tone was civil, though perhaps a bit of somthing else was there.

He watched as she made table & chair apper, with glasses & form the looks of it wine, he did not ask how she did the last part it was better he not ask, no since making himself look weak. With her other words he watched her -Please sit, I have only just returned from my journey spreading winter I am weary, I'm sure you understand- "I do, I felt the new chill in the air a sign of what is to come & the return of your ruling"
For the time he did not move as she took a seat, though at heer last words he thugh on it -Please- For the time he was not looking for a fight, so he moved to take a seat for now anyway.

She smiled nodding as he sat the inclination her her head slight and very regal she shifted "To be honest I might be pleased to see you, I have ruled as the snow queen now through four winters, and not a single kingdom has come to greet me as the new mistress of the winter save the fairies, who I work most closely with when spring returns to the world." she said sipping her wine and smiling "Please relax I have no quarrel with you and you seem as if you'd rather not start one with me, enjoy yourself if only a little, I would enjoy simply having someone's company." she said shifting

"My reign brief as it is comes every year with out fail and always will I don't expect them to fawn me, But someone to at least say hello." she admitted shifting a snow leopard it's black Rosette spots dark against with white fur padded into the room ears perked hearing the woman's lament moved resting it head in her laps again a thick collar of beautiful jewels shined at it's neck

"Hmm but how can I be lonely when all of my dearest loves are here." she murmured more for the cat then Rumple as the stroked the large feline head before returning her attention to the dark one "I Understand that you are rather like myself... You where not born with your position but gained it? is that right? Perhaps we can be friends simmiler as we are." she offered

"Your might be pleased to see me, that dearie can only be two ways ether you are or are not, there is no might about it" He was not a fool, he had lived long enough even before the dark one to know, that there could only be two answers no between in such matters, though he was leery to relax to much.

His nature was not like that & even before the dark one it did not happen, so the idea was not something he took to well. He could give her company for the time, little harm in that could turn in his favor later, but he was not about to say it. "I doubted many will say hello, they are to in wrapped in other events they do then, to think so" After all the only reason anyone came to him or wanted to speak with him was to make a deal, so he knew that with the queen it was not going to change.

He did not miss the snow leopard that came in, at her words he was sure it was not for him, though her last he was alert he was not about to give up his secrets so simple for he would never want another to rule over him as he had been before hand. "The position was before me, form the start it just did not come until later, as for friends appears like it would be a bad deal" It was not to be an insulted to her, but he just well had no friends so the idea was far fetched & he answered as close to any true, she was right he was not born into it, but the fact was that the position was still before him, long before he took it the only thing that changed was he did not know that, he would be bound by it, in a moment of anger to save his son.

she laughed lightly "Oh I believe in a lot of in betweens and you will as well soon I'm sure, your amassing quiet a power for yourself, through your deals, i would think you of all people would thrive on the might's and the maybe's that can spawn your... deals." she said shifting she stood walking to one of the grand arched windows the table was near and looking out, the sun was just setting to the her entire white snowy world flared with beutfiul life the white snow and crystals of ice shince and glittered with it's own power not even magic could bring she watched enthralled.

'It didn't used to be this way, the queen before me ruled for hundreds of years before my brith the magic gifting her with long life, when she was made queen every king and queen of every land came to greet her and give thanks to her mercy for ending winter an not blighting their kingdoms to eternal snow. she was probably far more vindictive then I, she felt I should do that for their slights against me, She stayed with me for two years before realising the last of her magic and passing on, her body became ice the grand sculpture of woman in the courtyard?' she said gesturing "Each of those women is a former queen ruling this land forever over looking her beloved winter for all time." she said softly turning she walked past

"Walk with me then I only sit with friends, if that is not what you wish then you will walk and keep on your toes about me." she said simply the wice melting the wine spilling into the table and vanishing with it as she walked even proud steps "All positions of power exist before us, but unlike the kings and queens of other lands you and I where given our power." she said looking at him as if daring him to deny it "When the magic changes hands it send a ripple through the world everyone else who hold magic feels it, that is how the faeries knew I was the new queen they felt the exactly moment the queen gave me her power. as you did I imagine." she said looking a him questioningly "a ripple of power, like a sudden cold breeze as the magic of the snow released and was contained again." she said

He heard her laugh, with her words he doubted it just because of who he was, she might be right in the end, but he did not think she would be. He could as she said, but he did not he only deal with the desperate, for a desperate soul was better to deal with & it always gave him the upper hand.

Listening to her words, he was not sure where it was going, but he started to feel uneasy as if he might find he would have to fight or would now have another enemy. He had little choose, but to bend to her words of of walking since she only seat with friends, he did not fear her like many others did though for now, he would play by her rules.

"Friend ship has done little for me in the past, excepted live a form of attack. You appear to already have an answer, why ask me to agree or not?"


He perhaps should of watched his tone, but he was a dark beast & perhaps his life before of being treated well poorly only was fulled by his thoughts she was doing the same.


Really he could not risk her being an enemy, yet his darkness was apart of him until he was kill it would be.

she perked up looking back and cocking her head questioningly 'don't you think so? not in the maybe's spawned by desperation and greed 'Maybe if I see that creature he'll make a deal with me, I might be able to offer soemthing and get what I want'." she recited with a smile "Might's and Maybe's make up your trade... 'dearie' ." she said with a small smile before sighing

"That goes with out saying, a man dosen't turn into... you with out some prompting." she said with a lazy gesture as she walked leaving the throne room behind into a long grand corridor, the lights of the fading sun casting a brilliant golden glow through the halls, darker corners where lit by lamps that glowed a soft blue with carefully places magic, there was no fire in this home.

"Hmm perhaps because I like to be right, and if I ask you can tell me how right I am." she said musingly "Or maybe I just want to hear someone else with power admit it." she said with a faint smile.

Gold had fallowed as she lift the room, he was still leery his nature & what he was just molded well at the idea right now, he listened to her words. If she though power is what, made him this way she was wrong mankind made him this way, the power just gave him away to strike back & take what he wanted. He said little even with her last words, he was not going to say such things or admit it any more then he already had, it would do him no good.

He was not sure what the Snow Queen had planed, but with things go the way they were he had to be ready should an attack come or more so careful, if after this it placed them as enemy's.

the queen shifted turning to him watching him with cool eyes "You, need to relax yourself." she said shortly "I have no intention of harming you, I may have power I may be the Icy queen, But trust me if I had wanted to harm you I would have by now, You came into my home with no invitation, do not act as if I coerced you here I do not appreciate it." she said regally turning as she walked along gown billowing out behind her.

With a huff she walked over to a window planting her hands on the sill and looking out at her kingdom a moment shifting "Perhaps you believe that I mean you harm but if that's the case why did you come here, My existence is a lonely one if you came to rub that in my face you needn't have bothered as I am very well aware of my fate." she said shifting

"Why did you come to my kingdom?" she asked him finally.

Rumple heard the Snow Queens words he could not belive she told him to relaxe, that was not really part of him when away form his home. At her question "I wanted to see, who took on the role of the new Snow Queen" Not a full lie, for it is what broght him here, though he wordered if there could be more to it, that he just did not want to get to.

She turned "Just a plain woman really, But I was born for this, I may not have been her child but the snow of this world loved me from my birth." she said shifting turning to him and stepping forward "Maybe your just always a tense person, I don't know I can't say, magic, can can corrupt and cure, it's such a fickle thing." she said reaching up slowly and smiling faintly "People like us, with power, we can get very lonely, those we love are taken away by that power." she said softly "Sometimes it's easier to just close your heart off, maybe that's what you did." she said stepping back

"Regardless your reasons are your own, I hold no judgment against you." she said simply shifting "But, if you ever get lonely, and want company, I am always here even if you aren't and just need companionship for a little while, I won't mind at all, but, it's up to you."

Rumple heard her words, he was not about to go looking for company even if he was alone as she said, he was not about to admit it. For that would be weakness, so he could not be showing that now could he a weakness for a monster as he was though of was not good. Though it was odd, she appered to know him to well, more then he would like so he had to be very mindful of things going on or said around her.

The snow queen chuckled "You are far to tense for your own good, You'll make yourself sick like that magic or not." she said returning to walking, animals could be seen watching from different rooms eying Rumple Curiously as him and the queen walked passed obviously the queen didn't regularly get visitors other then the fairies so for them seeing him was almost fascinating even if the darkness he exuded did frighten them into keeping their distance, The young queen sighed as she walked

"You have all the power you could want, why do you make deals with people?" she asked curiously "What do you get out of it?"
