Gold approached the pair after asking to cut in he spoke "Boy, move or you will find your self on my bad side" Only once David left he looked at Abi "May I have this dance my dear wife?" He bowed to a degree or to the point it would not pain him, as he held his hand out to Abi. He could not say he enjoyed being parted form Abi, though he felt the same with his son, but he had them both back & he knew that he would do everything he could to keep them safe form any harm that could come.

David heard his fathers words & mealy nodded as he moved away, deciding it would be good to take his leave for them. With that he moved back into the crowds of people, to see who else he saw around that he knew.

"Boy, move or you will find your self on my bad side" Gold told David and Abi smiled softly knowing it was only an act. She patted David's arm lightly before he released her and then turned away to find no doubt a more available woman to dance with. Abi looked at her husband. "May I have this dance my dear wife?" Gold asked her and Abi chuckled as he bowed. "Of course, my Prince." She replied softly.
Abi placed her hand in his and once he was upright again, She used her other hand to take his cane and rest it against one of the near by tables. She wanted him to hold her after all and he could not do that if he was using the cane. They had danced like this before and Abi was more than capable of holding him up when he needed it. Abi stepped into his arms and her free arm, the hand he was not holding, moved up and around his shoulders. She wanted to ask what the mayor had wanted but really, Abi did not know if she wanted to know.

Gold chuckled lightly at her words "Prince huh?" As she took his hand he moved closer to her he knew that they had danced before, a bit off to many he was sure, yet for them it did little to stop them. "The mayor, thought David would steal you away some how" He had no reason to hid anything, though he was not sure he should get her where she felt in the middle of the events with David & Mary, for she was sure to be the one to try to help & right now nothing could be done to help it or stop what was coming. "Are you having a good time?"

Ruby was never one to miss a party and this was no exception. There was something exciting about everyone hiding behind a mask. It was almost as if they weren't the same people that she waited on every day at the diner. Almost. There was already a crowd formed by the time she arrived. She had worked late into the afternoon at the diner and was already behind schedule by the time she began putting her costume. But it was all worth it because she knew that she looked hot in her form fitting sparkly red floor length dress, the slit going all the way up to her thigh leaving little to the imagination. She had topped off the look with an elbow length violet glove encasing each and a rather realistic looking red wig on her head. Granted, Jessica Rabbit wasn't the most creative costume but it did just what she needed it to. Adjusting her red and purple mask, she sauntered into the middle of the throng.
