Alex was staying late at her Art Gallery trying to finish up some last few paintings before closing. Today, Alex didn't have any customers, and if this stayed as it had been, she may not be able to survive. No money, No Anything. Without money from her shop, Alexline would have to live in the streets, feed off garbage and what not. It would just be a disaster. Luckily, Alex had a few new paintings she was working on and was going to put out for sale, and hopefully customers would buy them. Alex was curious. Should she make more paintings, or just start making new sculptures? It was up to the customers to decide...

Mary Margaret walked into the art gallery thinking her house was dull and she wanted a piece of art work to keep it bright. "Hello Alex, do you have any paintings of things in nature?"

Alex noticed Mary Margaret walking into her shop. She despised Mary Margaret with a burning passion, but she was at least happy that she was going to buy a piece of artwork from her. "Hello Alex, do you have any paintings of things in nature?", she heard her say. She went to the back room and grabbed all of the nature paitings she could find. "Yes. I have these 5 paintings. Is there any one you'd like in particular." Even though she dislike Mary Margaret very much, Alex still had to at least be nice.

The 5 paintings were all so good she couldn't decide, but she adored the deer, rabbits, squirrels, birds, etc. around a little house, and a head of a girl with hair as black as night and skin as white as snow peeking out of the window. " I'll take the one with the little shed, dear" she said.

Alex was surprised by her answer. She thought that Mary Margaret would choose the one with all of trees, but she was wrong. "Okay. That painting is $100 dollars. The other ones are only $50... Do you want it wrapped or in a bag?" Alexline asked pretty excitedly. She was her first customer of the day.

"A bag would be wonderful. You have amazing art skills, dear. And those sculptures, amazing." Mary Margaret really wanted that storybook sculpture for Henry, but $100 was already enough.

Alex was now delighted. "A bag would be wonderful. You have amazing art skills, dear. And those sculptures, amazing." she heard Mary Margaret say. "Thank you, Miss Blanchard. I've worked very hard on them. This one is my favorite." She walked over to the book sculpture.
"Is that all you would like today?" Alex asked her.

"How much is that book?" The more she looked at it, the more she wanted it.

Alex smiled at Mary Margaret. She actually wasn't as bad as the mayor had said she was. "Well, since it is small, it is $20. Would you like to take it home with you?" She went behind her desk and ringed up the first order on the cash register. If Mary Margaret bought both of this pieces, she would be able to pay the mortgage bills on her father's home this month.

"Only $20? Why, I'll take it dear for $30. It will make a great addition to my classroom. That will be it, dear. 130 is it?" Mary Margaret handed Cora the money and thought Cora was a sweet and charming girl that was talented and beautiful. Cora made her day have a happy ending.

Alex took the money and gave Mary Margaret the receipt. "Yes, it would then be $130. Thank you, oh, thank you very much! I hope all of your students enjoy it. See you sometime soon! Have a wonderful day!" Now, Alex just wanted to go and make more sculptures and paintings, and she did just that.

Mary Margaret left the store with her newly bought art.
