Princess Alex Mills walked into the book shop, expecting to see Belle. And she was right. Belle was, in fact, there at the book shop. "Hello, Belle! I'm glad you're here! I have lots to tell you!" Alex loved Belle. Belle was one of Alex's only friends.

Belle was browsing for books while she waited for Gaston. It was something she enjoyed doing when she had the time. She did not unfortunately have much of it as of late. "Hello, Belle! I'm glad you're here! I have lots to tell you!" Belle heard and she turned slowly to face he friend. "Hello, Alex." Belle said with a chuckle. She loved the way this girl could get so excited. Belle closed the book in her hands and then waited for a moment. "What is it?" She asked.

Alex loved Belle with a burning passion. The only problem was that her mother didn't know Alex had been talking to Belle, and she probably wouldn't approve of it. But, Alex didn't care what her mother said about Belle. Alex liked her and that was that. "For starters, I am opening my own Art Gallery down the block!! Secondly, I have a new crush!!! But, I don't think Mother would approve of him." Alex could tell Belle anything, or so she thought. She knew Belle wouldn't ever tell anyone, and it would always stay between the two of them.

Belle's smile widened and she moved to hug Alex to her. "That's wonderful!" She gushed. Belle released the girl from the hug but took her hand instead. "Who is the boy?" Belle asked with a whisper. She led Alex outside to the fountain and then sat on the stone ledge. "Tell me everything." It was nice outside. The sun was high and a cool breeze was in the air. There were other people around but not too many to make the area crowded.

Alex loved it that Belle wanted to hear every detail about her crush. "His name is Jake. But, he also has a fairy. I hate fairies!! But Jake is so kind and handsome. And that's exactly why Mother won't approve of him. I would like to tell him that I have a crush on him but I'm too afraid. Besides, aren't boys supposed to ask the girls on the first date?" Now Alex was afraid she had too much. And all the same, she felt she said just enough. "Belle, what do you think of my mother? I mean, to me, yeah she's nice and all, but she's always controling my life. Telling me what to do, and bossing me around all the time. Do you suppose she misses my daddy? I hope that's the case! If not, then I don't know what her problem is..." Now Alex seemed really confused at what she just said about Mother. Maybe Mother did miss Daddy. Maybe there was another way to bring him back.

Belle listened to her go on. When the conversation turned to her mother, Belle hesitated to say anything at all. The Queen was a nasty and violent person. Everyone knew that. But she was feared. "The boy sounds nice, Alex." Belle told the girl now. "I have never met a fairy and you mother is... different. I don't know what she is thinking. Maybe you talk with Snow about that?" Belle really did not want to get into that topic. Her mother could do some real damage if Belle said the wring thing.

Alex was listening intentively. "Snow White?! No! I mustn't speak to her. I don't trust her. Because of her, my daddy's dead..."
